Exceeded expectations
Dr. Parry has been a Godsend. I met him in the ER and he immediately explained my case thoroughly in a way I could understand, answered every question my family and I had, and quickly made time for me in the OR. Throughout my recovery time he listened intently to what I told him I was feeling, he recognized next steps and took action quickly (an additional, life saving procedure). Dr. Parry and his team have been very responsive to my questions post surgery and hospital time. I can’t recommend him enough!

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Parry in my opinion. First and foremost, I must emphasize that my extensive experience in the medical field for over 15 years leads me to strongly advise against consulting this particular doctor. My visit was prompted by a referral from the ER and my primary care physician after reviewing my MRI results. However, during my appointment, I was met by the physician assistant for an extended period before finally inquiring about seeing the doctor himself. To my dismay, the doctor seemed unaware of my past back surgery and failed to discuss my MRI findings with me. Instead of addressing my spinal stenosis and disc protrusion, he immediately jumped to recommending bariatric surgery, disregarding my medical history and current concerns. This doctor's focus on weight and discriminatory remarks, along with the PA's attitude, left me feeling unheard and disrespected. It is crucial to question whether WellStar permits such biased treatment towards patients based on their weight and health status. My weight gain post-pregnancy should not overshadow the legitimate issues I am facing due to nerve impingement. I have endured significant challenges in the past, including infertility and emergency surgery, showcasing my resilience and high pain tolerance. This doctor's narrow-minded approach fails to acknowledge the complexities of individual experiences and medical conditions, as evident in my case and that of many others. It is imperative to advocate for fair and compassionate healthcare that considers the holistic well-being of patients, regardless of their size or perceived health status. He needs to be reminded that health issues are multifaceted and should not be reduced to a single factor such as weight. I'd hate for them to walk out those doors and be in a wreck or a life experience cause back pain and be told by a careless doctor because they are overweight or underweight their pain doesn't matter. Also he ordered a CT scan stat on Thursday. I had to go get it at 6:45 at East Cobb health Park. Well I never heard anything back so Friday morning I called around 10:00 and didn't hear nothing so I left a message on the nurse's line Story. At 4:00 I still haven't heard anything so I called and left another message. Story called me back around 4:22 and said oh he hasn't called you with your results I said no ma'am she said well I will leave him a message I have no idea where he is. I also woke up to a referral from a place where diabetes I've never had any blood work come back bad even when I was pregnant with my twins about sugar. I've screenshot all this information. First of all he is trying to diagnose me with something that I don't have it's not even in his medical degree to even diagnose me with that. I can't believe WellStar would allow this but also if you try to leave a review on just him it won't allow you and it shows a 5.0 review so it tells me that you're actually not allowing people to leave true reviews only on certain places.

I am a Physical Therapy provider and a back specialist. I saw an Orthopedic Surgeon about my back pain 4 years ago and told me I needed a procedure and I shouldn't put it off. I did more in depth research and decided to see Dr Parry. He spent so much more time with me with a much more accurate diagnosis (as I suspected) and said I should try to delay the surgery as long as possible. I have seen so many of his patients over the last 3 years with great results. I am finally having my surgery soon and I am completely confident with my prospects of a good outcome.

Surgery gone wrong
After Dr Parry did my cervical surgery 1n 2021 my neck was bent 10 degrees to the right. After 8 month excruciating pain asking him to help me I ended up getting a revision from another surgeon in GA. Please get a 2nd opinion.

biography

A career in medicine was something I considered from an early age. My father was a physician so that played a role in inspiring me to pursue a medical career. Choosing to become a neurosurgeon, however, was little more happenstance.
