Dr. Gordon has been my kids' pediatrician for more than 16 years. She's been there through my daughter's seizure, hand holding a terrified mom (me), through the tests to see what might be wrong. She helped my teenager through some potentially scary diagnoses by keeping us calm, focusing on science, and finding us specialists during scary covid times. She's also been great at referring us to amazing doctors when we've needed orthopedists, pulmonologists, and neurologists. She's built wonderful connections over the years and all the doctors she's referred us to have the highest regard for her. We have found Dr. G. a calm, accepting presence in our kids' lives. Quote from my 17 year old-- "I feel very comfortable around Dr. Gordon." We switched to Dr. Gordon's practice after seeing a dismissive, judgmental doctor (who has since retired) who terrified me as a new mom-- so I've experienced both sides. Highly recommend!

The drs are excellent but the office is a mess. They overbook like crazy resulting in outrageous wait times of 30min to an hour which with a newborn is insane. The office desperately needs a face lift and the front desk needs to be retrained.

Dealing with this office has been a nightmare from start to finish. Any doctor's office that in 2019 still uses only fax is clearly outdated. If Philippa Gordon can afford to have two practices open, why can she not afford to move to digitize records? Claims of confidentiality are dishonest since it has been proven in countless articles that use of email by doctors' practices is more secure than faxing. When I have cited these concerns, the front office staff have been very unhelpful, but ultimately it is down to the incompetence of the management for failing to embrace the modern age.

My issues are with the front desk and office manager not the Dr. Gordon or the NP. First, unless it’s an emergency you’ll never be able to talk to someone. You leave a message and hope that someone will back you back and play phone tag for a day or two. I had a HUGE issue I was mis-treated by one of disgruntle front desk staff, left several messages to speak with the office manager and never heard back. Take your time and money else where.

We were looking for a pediatrician for our newborn. Met with Dr. Gordon for an informational interview for $75. She appeared great and we made an appointment with her once the baby was born. At the appointment there was no sign of doctor Gordon or any other doctor. We were told she is also cutting down her hours overall. I wouldnt recommend a practice that treats a newborns first doctor appointment after birth this way. Completely intransparent and irresponsible.

I love Dr. Gordon and our girls love her too. She's very personable and sensitive about their bodies and needs. She is very difficult to see, however, for a sick appointment. You're much more likely to get one of the other doctors, but they've all been great, and as far as I know, they are all women. Also, the office staff are amazing, very friendly and excellent with kids. Compared to any other specialist or pediatrician I've seen with our kids, it's the best all around experience.

Calm, informed pediatrician with excellent staff. Difficult to deal with the neuroses of Park Slope parents, but Dr. Gordon does with aplomb. Never a doubt as to the accuracy of information conveyed.

Missed a very evident medical issue resulting in an invasive surgery for my child. Also, told me someone has probably contacted you with test results (they hadn't). Also, charges $40 for breastfeeding weight checks, which is not supportive for breast feeding mothers. Overall disappointment. Dr. Danis Copenhaver in her office is the most compassionate.
