Worst Experience
How difficult is it for a staff member to call you back about an appointment? I have metastatic breast cancer. I needed to see the doctor before chemo. This office was no help at all, and caused a great deal of turmoil for everyone involved, including my oncologist. After a detailed explanation as to why I needed an earlier appointment, along with my oncologist calling, the receptionist who I thought understood the situation, said she would call back about this. Never did, then blamed me for not calling her in the morning. Great way to communicate with patients. And it’s the only office I know that is closed on Wednesday, which is so inconvenient. The front office staff is as rude as could be, sarcastic to their patients and nasty. They speak to you as a five year old, condescending and cold. They are disorganized and archaic in their practice. And the doctor has absolutely no connection with the patients. At all.

He saved my mother’s life. I have never seen a more dedicated healthcare professional. He took the time to discuss issues reasonably and always returned my calls. If 10 stars were available I would give him 20.

He asked me about my family's medical conditions and, while I was talking, he got up and walked out of his office. I was alone in a wheelchair waiting. I called my friend who took me on my cell. He was outside smoking. He came up and wheeled me to the reception desk and I explained what happened and asked where the "doctor" was. I was told that he left for the day!! With no word to me! The office staff never noticed that I never came out. Despicable!! ZERO STARS!!

This guy needs an anger management class. He was assigned to me while I was hospitalized with an acute lung infection. On my follow up appt when released he actually yelled at me at end of my appt when I asked what the paperwork was for he handed me. Total jerk, sarcastic and RUDE!

Does not seem to care about his patients. Patient scheduled for a thoracocentesis the following day, a temporary procedure that in the past had been painful and draining for this 89 year old woman. We had the possibility of having a thoracic surgeon perform a more permanent procedure in 3 days. I wanted to know if it would be harmful to wait 2 days without the thoracocentesis. Dr Simkovitz refused to come to the phone, saying he would answer my question at our next appointment in 3 weeks.

I have gone to Dr. Simkovitch for 3 years. He has spent a total of 10 minutes with me. When I felt the Cpap machine was not working properly . He said it was and didn;\;t look into it any further. I do not find him to be competent or thorough. They make appointments one year out and staff does not call to remind patients. . I would never recommend him to anyone based on my experience with many Dr.'s I have seen many great Doctor' , He is dismissve and lacks bedside manner.

Dr. Simkovitz has been my primary physician for many years, and has always provided the very best care. He has developed and tested a regimen of therapies for me that have had great benefit for my health and quality of life. He has also recommended a great group of specialists for me that have helped with areas that are not his specialty. I would highly recommend Dr. Simkovitz to anyone.

He would not call to advise me of the results of a CAT scan that he recommended.I had to request the report from the company that performed the scan which reflected a small nodule in my lung as well as a lesion . When I then called him to get an interpretation of the results i was told he does not call patients and I would have to wait for my next appointment in 6 months for him to explain. I was told phone calls take time and would have to pay for another visit if I wanted to find out sooner.
