Like many others who have written on here, I also had a horrible experience with Dr. Ginsburg. I won't even try to explain it better- those ahead of me already have. I will reiterate- he is condescending, rude, uncaring, etc. His clinical skills are not good, he doesn't put in effort to think outside the box or treat a patient as an individual. To everyone who had a bad experience and shared it- reviews like these are extremely helpful and I applaud you. But I'm going to ask you to take one additional step. Call the office and speak to a medical supervisor and/or office manager. While these reviews WILL prevent some people from seeing him if they do their research ahead of time, they don't actually reach the office since they are 3rd party sites. The office was appalled at the amount of negative reviews across so many websites when I made a complaint over the phone. Clearly nothing is changing after over a decade with his behavior, level of care, and bedside manner. So the office should be made aware of everybody's experiences and at this point really intervene because this is so not ok!!!

Horrible bedside manner. Basically called me dumb because I did not agree with him and had not remembered something he said to me. I don't think that he understands that part of his ability to be a good doctor stems from his ability to LISTEN.

I had my colonoscopy done by Dr. Ginsburg on 11/2022 . I had an awful experience as well, no bedside manner , rushes, and did answer my concerns. He stated that I will get a phone call from his office . The next day I started to have a high fever and I called the office two times to let him know, and he never called me back.

Don’t be late!
I am a teacher and made my best effort to get to the office on time for my post-colonoscopy consult today, but I was 6 minutes late. I waited in line to get to the front desk and by the time I got there they told me to wait and then that they “couldn’t find the doctor.” Then they told me I was too late to be seen and that “Dr. Ginsberg doesn’t accept late patients.” I do understand late patients are frustrating, but is there no grace period for when life and traffic make someone (who has used this practice for years) late? The charge is $50 for a missed appointment but I was there, and I’ll be very upset if I’m charged.

Don't use this Dr.
Horrible bedside manner, rushes and is rude. Office staff is poor with logistics - appointments, will "yes" you, then not deliver on commitments, etc. Once (recently), their generator stopped working and they asked for flexibility, to relocate to an facility 30 minutes away. But they offer no flexibility. don't be 11 minutes late for an appt due to traffic, because you'll have to reschedule. You will never talk to the doc on the phone, only the assistant. looks good technically, but horrible on the other matters. Also, rude office manager - Susan.

I had an awful experience with Dr. Ginsburg over a decade ago. He was my 2nd opinion. I had Crohn's Disease and I am completely shocked that he practices medicine much less teaches at Yale and QU schools of medicine. He is very arrogant and does NOT have a patient centered approach. Dr. Ginsburg is the director of IBD research and IBD center of CT. He is probably good at conducting research and collecting data. But as a doctor, he treats patients strictly by the results of his research instead of realizing that each patient is unique and requires individual care. What works for one patient might not work for another. He shot down all my valid suggestions. I left the practice and found another doctor who has been absolutely amazing, compassionate, and thinks outside the box. She listens to my ideas and we work together. Avoid Dr. Ginsburg. On paper he looks like a really good doctor but he is far from that!

I have been dx and dealing with a gi dx since 2014. I have been seeing dr Ginsburg since referred from another md who did not know what to do for me. Dr Ginsburg is bright and on top of his career . I have a difficult situation and he has been very supportive and works with his patients for best outcomes. People might regard him as blunt at times however I rather have blunt answers than evasive responses ! Thank you Dr Ginsburg !

Worse doctor ever!!! stay away from this doctor!!!! Regretting already letting this doctor do my cousin's colonoscopy and after he sprayed a blue dye inside inside of him, He have had nothing but pain and his condition is getting worse and worse. This doctor supposedly sprayed my cousin with that blue dye looking for cancer without even doing blood work on him first to make sure his blood work was off and suggested that type of test but he didn't. This doctor is very arrogant also doesn't follow up.

Go elsewhere, very rude and condescending. Bases all his directions on films and tests ONLY - NOT patient centered. Appointments are rushed. Hard to get a hold of - you will always go through his assistant. When my rheumatologist suggested an addition diagnostic to rule out issues 3 MONTHS ago his message was "well if HE wants that test HE can order it". Very pompous, doesn't like questions regarding the possibility of additional diagnostics. Actually LAUGHED at me when I winced before he palpated my ABDOMEN (which btw I REQUESTED he do as he had NOT actually examined me in 3 months)......Waited and was told to just take 4 prilosec a day...no other supports or directions...just horrible experience...endured other complications which I am now unwinding. Was verbally given biopsy results as "no pathology" which was true, but did not share the notations on chronic "itis's"...which have now caused other issues. Decided my issue was musculoskeletal and basically dismissed me. RUN AWAY

Dr Ginsburg is a life saver. My son has been to many gasto dr over the years with very little satisfaction. Since we have been to Dr Ginsburg, my son has been doing great. His quality of life has improved 3 fold. Love him. Would highly recommend him. He is very proactive and stays ahead of the problem before it explodes. Can't say enough about him and Stephanie. She is wonderful. Always goes over and beyond if there is a problem.

Dr Ginsburg and his staff prepared me well how the two procedures would transpire. While I have had the tests before in a different state (since move 8/14) Dr Ginsburg was the most thorough regarding what he be doing. I cannot comment on the next question as it hasn't come up in my care
