Not too bad but could use improvement
Dr. Ford is a really nice guy but sometimes he doesn’t come across as very professional, he’s got a big sense of humor and likes to joke, sometimes a little too much. He’s very relatable but he talks a lot and fast. Slow down and put a little more seriousness into your office visits and you’d get a 5 star rating. Wait time tends to be long, I waited an hour in a room. He did explain he was short staffed but an hour with no explanation was a little too much. He knew exactly what medication to put me on based off of the blood tests he orders prior to your first visit. He was very reassuring and it was generally easy to trust him, especially after 3 months and watching my cd4 count go way up. I really liked him but his office staff just killed it for me and due to being lied to by his staff and their unorganized staff I felt the need to get another Dr. Get rid of your staff and I’d definitely return!

Professional and friendly
I have been a patient of Dr Fords for approximately 20 years and have found him to be extremely knowledgeable, very experienced and a great doctor. He is probably my favorite doctor because of his friendly and helpful attitude. He has also been very accommodating with my needs as a quadriplegic, and flexible with my treatment requirements. I would highly recommend him.

My 87 year old widowed neighbor was referred for an infection her regular doctor could not resolve. Dr Ford did find out it was e-coli in the urine and ordered home IV therapy for 21 days. Her pic line had to go in her dominant right arm per has pacemaker on left. She is frail and shaky, and is very frightened easily. The staff told her she could do this at home. It requires 3 shots of saline and heparin, and it's a small little bottle of medication that hooks right into the pic line. They said can only have a nurse once a week and handed her directions. She told them she could not do it. I can not reach my upper right arm to give myself the shots or hook up the IV either. Maybe if you were not anxious and were ambidextrous you could manage. We live 130 miles away so can't just go in and have it done . This is just not an acceptable way to handle this. I am very disappointed in this care and we had to find our own nurse (my sister) to come administer this every day. Very unacceptable

Love him! Kindest soul! Amazing, caring, kind, knowledgeable, professional doctor. I am lyme-disease free thanks to him and God/Jesus. He took care of me years ago but I never forget what he did for me.

I would not recommend Dr. Ford to family or friends. He presents himself as a clown in a boisterous manner trying to be funny. As a new patient he scheduled me for multiple appointments to track labs and tests he ordered but presented as if I was not a new patient and acted as if I was there for a routine check-up which was not the case. His interest and level of care in my case was not what I expected. He is quick to talk poorly about other physicians working in his area of specialty. Stay away
