Beware!
When I tried to discuss and address arthritis pain with Dr. Uppala, she insisted I have no medical history of arthritis. I was with Dr. Young in this office for many years and was assured when he retired that the new doctor would have access to all of my medical records and review my history prior to visit. I have a long history of arthritis. I was diagnosed in 2008 by a specialist who ordered mri. I have osteoarthritis nodes on my fingers and toes. Rather than examine me, or go back and review my history, which I asked her to do, she just continued to insist I have no history of arthritis! She compared our relationship to that of a child with his teacher! At that point, I just told her I felt she was being insensitive and told her I would not be back. So the practice deleted all of my medical history from the online app and told me I would have to pay to get my medical records. For the record, I was not asking for narcotic pain medication; there are other ways to manage pain.

On behalf of my parent, I made a wise choice in choosing a great primary care provider. Dr. Uppala does listen and also repeats patient concerns to ensure proper understanding. It's worth the 26 mile (one way) drive. She is very observant, empathetic, and thorough. Dr. Uppala explains the reasoning behind her professional judgements and allows one to accept or refuse her suggested mode of treatment. After every visit we are given a written sumary of our encounter. I have had no problems in getting a quick appointment for an acute concern. The online appointment scheduling is easy and saves possible hold time when calling the office.

Have been reassured by local patients she has a difficult time listening to patients, leaving them feeling marginalized.
