Dr. Peter Wood, MD

Fell off a piece of equipment and landed on my back. Wood had an X-ray of my lower back and MRI taken of my tailbone as that's where it was hurting. Told me there wasn't anything wrong or anything to do about it. After a month of continuing pain a sought a second opinion. I shared the MRI with the new doctor and he pointed out that the MRI didn't even include the tailbone. So got a new MRI and found a broken/displaced tailbone and not only that I had a fractured vertebrae. Unfortunately by that time the bone had started to fuse which prevented them from treating it. They couldn't even get a needle through it for a steroid injection. Later I had talked to my PCP and just upon hearing the name Wood they cringed and said he wouldn't let him near their family, and that was before I'd even told him what happened. Wood cost me a lot of pain and money due to not knowing how to interpret an MRI. I mean come on.. The tailbone WASN'T EVEN IN THE IMAGE, and he didn't notice.

Dr. Wood performed my knee replacement surgery, and I've never had an issue with it from the time I walked out of the hospital in 2015. He now is helping me with my other knee, hoping to avoid surgery. I trust Dr. Wood and am grateful for his concern and focus on my issues. I think he's a superb physician. The best.

After the cortisone shot in my right knee yesterday, I feel great!! Thank you for you demeanor and I appreciate the fact that for now there is no knee surgery needed. Hopefully this shot will last another year!

Dr. Wood guided me step by step through the early stages of a foot injury incurred while visiting CO from another state. He shared information clearly and with empathy, and checked in on me to be sure I successfully transitioned my treatment plan to a care team where I live. Although I hated to have to go to urgent care, I’m grateful Dr. Wood was there to treat me.

Dr Wood did not listen to me. I injured my knee skiing and he mentioned several times that this was normal wear and tear, each time I corrected him about the injury. I fell and had acute pain after the fall and the following two weeks. i delayed surgery and the meniscus tore a little more, I wish he had explained that this could happen. I expect both good outcomes and good bedside manner with a doctor. I got one out of two.

I could barely walk knee pain Also trigger finger can baby cmake a fist. Today thanks to Dr Wood I'm not in pain, he is very caring and a great Dr. On my way to Physical therapy. I love Doctors that can help and relieve you from the 1st visit.
