Good doctor but never available
He is a very good doctor but rarely available and staff are not at all helpful. He has a new job and his patients come second to that. He missed important issues on test results for over a year and I had to point it out. He does not follow up on anything. You have to be the one to make sure things get done and the office gets mad at patients. Looking for a new dr who is available and puts patients first.

Poor Care
Was a patient of Dr. Witham for a year, and it was fine until I really needed a doctor. Had some chest pain one night followed by left arm pain. Possibly a mini MI. Passed quickly, before I could get to a hospital. Called to schedule to get checked out the very next day. Nursing staff was slow to respond, took four days to get back. Witham’s medical assistant scheduled me a month out. Witham never responded to my messages about it trying to get a quicker appointment. Day before appointment, his office calls, he’s going on vacation and wants to schedule me another three weeks out. Didn’t even schedule labs in time to see if what happened was cardiac. Totally reckless standard of care. This doctor shouldn’t be practicing if he can’t responsibly manage patients. MDI Hospital has really gone downhill.

I was very impressed with my first visit. Dr. Witham explained things well and was very thorough. I am pleased with my choice for a PCP going forward.
