My mother with Parkinson’s went in for Deep Brain Stimulater. The surgery dates times changed several times. But ended up a surgery starting 9pm The first laser malfunctionedMy mother then was tonally incapacitated after that. Not once did he offer anything to help with recovery. Just don’t understand how Dr Weber could be so cold and just reminded everyone he didn’t do anything wrong.

Horrible shunt placement created lifetime of pain
My wife had a grade V subarachnoid hemorrhage from a dissecting pseudoaneurysm and needed a PV shunt to keep the CSF pressure from building up around her brain. Dr. Weber was the surgeon that placed it. He decided to place in the lower right back of her skull, drilling through a cluster of nerves which has caused her to suffer severe chronic nerve pain for the past 10 years. Every neurologist and neurosurgeon we've seen since asked us why he placed it there. After she recovered months later, we went back to him asked him to move it to relieve the pain and because she could sleep on her back. He said it's working properly and that he wouldn't move it. When asked what about the pain, he said "I don't deal with pain". When we asked him why he placed it where he did, he declined to answer, only saying "it's the surgeons prerogative". He was condescending and showed no sympathy or compassion. We finally were able to get the shunt moved to the top of her head by the team at UCSF. But

I suffered with burning pain in my thighs whenever I walked, over time, whenever I stood. Got Cortisone shots three times ....waste of time. Dr Weber did a Laminectomy and 'snap' all fixed, pain gone.

Dr Weber performed a back fusion surgery for me in Feb at L4 & L5. I was in extreme pain before my surgery & could barely stand up after sitting. I am only 66 but felt like I was in my 90's. Now I am able to do things I could not do before. We just got back from a trip to Greece - there was a lot of walking & I did great. I was in the hospital 3 days & have no pain in my back. I highly recommend Dr. Weber if you are having back pain.
