Dr. Peter Stlouis, MD

My late husband was a patient of Dr St Louis for many years (they both were relatively young men at the time). My husband often commented how thorough he was. We moved out of the area. I am convinced that my husband would still be with us if Dr St Louis had been his doctor.

Dr. Peter St. Louis has been our doctor for more than ten years now, and he is the best internist we have ever had. As senior citizens we truly appreciate his expertise, his bedside manner and his concern for our wellbeing.

Excellent, he is a very knowledgeable and competent physician.

In my opinion as a legal DPOA for a patient of Dr. St. Louis, I felt that he did not listen to my questions, did not care to take the time to explain to me the condition of my loved one, and he looked at me as a distraction rather than a person with a loved one dying in a hospital. While I was the person who was legally charged with making healthcare decisions for my loved one (his patient), Dr. St. Louis routinely sought out the advice and provided updates to a person who had no legal right.

Dr. St. Louis comes off as extremely arrogant and condescending. He refused to consider 2nd opinions and was, in fact, demeaning of other highly acclaimed physicians. I would NOT recommend him.

If you have a loved one and you actually love them choose another doctor. No compassion and lazy. What a struggle it was to leave my dad's life in his hands. He checks his heart at the door.

Our experience with Dr. St. Louis was extremely frustrating. I am convinced he prolonged my family member's suffering due to his arrogance and inability to consider any opinion other than his own. He was patronizing and demeaning to family members and allowed them to continue to live in denial thus increasing and prolonging the pain and suffering of the patient. When other consulting physicians recommended various avenues for pain relief Dr. St. Louis either dismissed them or delayed them.

I would not recommend this doctor as he is self centered, terrible bed side manner, does not want to come when you need him and charges a lot of money for not excellent care. When my mother was in a care facility he was unwilling to come after she had coughed for two days with no medication administered to her. He acted so rude and spoke to my 90 year old mother in a down casting way.
