Horrible Doctor
My mother has been battling cancer for the last two and a half years. She has been receiving treatment at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, and they have been excellent. However, last week my mom underwent another brain surgery, which temporarily disabled her, affecting her left arm and leg. Her brain surgeon has advised that with physical therapy, she should regain full control. Yesterday, my mom was transferred to the rehab floor, where we encountered a problem. Her rehab doctor, Dr. Peter Riedel, has been disrespectful towards my mom, speaking down to her as if she is unintelligent because she does not meet his educational standards. Since my mom's surgery, she has been trying to manage her blood pressure, which the medication they prescribed is exacerbating. Dr. Peter Riedel entered my mom’s room and callously informed her that she is disabled and will not regain independence. This caused my mom to cry, further increasing her blood pressure.
