Dr. Peter Laucks, DO

In April of 2024, I woke during the night unable to breathe. Paramedics arrived and transported me to the nearest hospital, but also had the medivac copter on standby as I was in 'catastrophic condition' and would likely need flown to the larger hospital 40 miles away. I had fluids around my heart, in my lungs (pulmonary edema), a-fib, and double pneumonia. Dr. Laucks and a cardiologist were handling my care. But, it was Dr. Laucks who truly stepped up to the challenges and spent much time determining what happened to cause my conditions and treat them. We discussed past and recent history, and he quickly determined how a series of unrelated events came together and caused the 'disaster'. Dr. Laucks demonstrated very clearly that he is a competent, approachable and very knowledgeable medical professional. He has great bedside manner and a comical sense of humor, and those really help a patient feel relaxed. He is absolutely phenomenal and I am glad he was there that day!

Dr Pete says my family member in the hospital and suggested she see him in our local hospital instead of us having to drive to Erie. When we saw him for the first time, he sat down and he listened and was genuinely concerned. He made you feel like you were his only patient though I am sure he is very busy with others. He also did his homework before he came in to the room as well. Truly impressed and amazed
