Review
Regrettably, my experience with Dr. Peter Jenkin fell far short of the standards expected from a medical professional. After undergoing critical Mohs surgery, he abruptly closed his practice and disappeared without providing his patients, myself included, with sufficient notice or contingency plans for ongoing care. Adding to the distress, the inaccessibility of medical records by other physicians has created significant complications. Such an action appears to contradict the Hippocratic Oath and the ethical duty of a doctor. The doctor-patient relationship is a bond of trust, mutual respect, and consistent care, all of which felt neglected in my experience with Dr. Jenkin. In such a crucial post-surgery phase, it was extremely distressing to feel abandoned, as patients depend on their doctors not only for medical guidance but also for compassionate and consistent care. I hope this review encourages an appropriate reaction from the wider medical community.

Does not accept cash or out-of-network insurance
I waited over three weeks to get an appointment here, but when I arrived they refused to see me because they didn't accept my individual insurance plan purchased on the state exchange (not Medicaid or Apple Health). They also claimed that they were legally prohibited from accepting cash from me. I contacted the Washington state insurance commissioner's office and they confirmed that I am free to visit any doctor and pay cash if I choose to do so. My insurance company also confirmed that I can visit anywhere I like, and that they will pay if it's in-network. If it's out of network, I'm free to pay out of pocket. But Dermatology Associates does not follow these laws or insurance company rules. They only accept their in-network plan partners and nothing else, according to the receptionist. Don't waste time driving downtown and paying for parking only to discover at the desk that your day was wasted. Find a different dermatologist that understands Washington state insurance laws.

The WORST! Don’t go to him
Doesn’t take the time to truly assess the issues or properly diagnose. Is prescription happy, and does not address the root cause of the skin issues. Just another pharma pushing sleezy doc.

so so. He seemed not so interested in severe itching condition and merely told me I had dermatitis and internal process. It turned out to be far more complex than that when I saw another dermatologist who did several biopsies, blood tests, and a chest x ray.

I would recommend Dr. Jenkin without hesitation to my family and friends. He gave me thoughtful advise and I am delighted with the result and resolution of my concern, thanks to Dr. Jenkin's care. The staff is a dream!! I feel like visiting them, just to say hello; that's how friendly all of them are. Thank you, I had a wonderful experience. And I waited eight days to write this review to make sure all was as I have expected.

Always prescribes Brand name Ointments. Went for a rash on Face, diagnosed as Fungal Infection, done some Lab test, prescribed a Brand Name Drug that costs 600$ Called up doctor's office and a follow up call again after 2 days got a Generic Ointment (15$) Used it for 1 month with no results. Meanwhile got the bills but no Lab report. Went to the Doctor again after 1 month, was told it is not Fungal infection but acne. Prescribed another Brand Name ointment inspite of my request for Generic...
