Genuinely Cares for Patients
I’ve been seeing Dr. Gambacorta for a few years now after a bad fall left me with an arthritic knee. At each visit he has made me feel heard and has taken the time to explain things to me, even drawing on the examination table paper to help me understand better. When I leave my appointments with Dr. Gambacorta I feel genuinely cared for, like my concerns were validated, and with a greater sense of autonomy as if I am part of the care team with him. Dr. Gambacorta’s “bedside manner” and interactions with his patients are refreshing in a world full of doctors who often spend more time looking at the screen than making eye contact. I trust his opinion and I trust that he genuinely wants to help me and my knee.

Absolutely Horrible Person
He was beyond nasty my entire visit on my first time ever seeing him. Asked me "what do you want from me" when i simply expressed concerns about my injury and refused to look into it at all just told me "its an injury". By far the rudest person ive ever met and just had to leave in the middle of the visit because he was treating me horribly the entire time.

Dr Gambacorta is unprofessional. Didnt even meet me for a broken hand injury until my cast was taken off. Nothing was done prior to my hand being casted. Hand is dedormed and he says theres nothing further for me to see them about. Thats it. No transfer of care to a hand specialist. No 2nd opinion from a hand specialist. Just a cast and the door. I blame Excelsior Ortho as well for sticking me with a Dr who is not a hand specialist. They now refuse to see me and are telling me to go to ECMC. Seems like neglect.

In 2016, Dr. Gambacorta diagnosed me with FAI. He performed surgery on July 14, 2017. First sign: he numbed my sciatic nerve during surgery on accident. Despite trying to tell him I physically was not ready to be released from PT, he insisted I was fine 1 month post op. His rehab protocol doesn’t start PT until 2 weeks after surgery, which allows adhesions to build and is outdated. My hip never improved, and in October 2018, during a sports medicine class my hip subluxed. He took an xray, where you can’t see soft tissue damage, claimed I was exaggerating and that I only had a sprain. I immediately got a second opinion, where the surgeon caught in the first appointment that I have hypermobility syndrome. During my revision surgery, we found that he never closed the joint capsule, he did not shape the head of my femur correctly causing multiple microfractures and tearing apart the labrum. There was also a chunk taken out of my health labrum by a surgical tool. Get a second opinion.

My husband had rotator cuff surgery. Dr G. Took the time to sit with us and explain what needed to be done. After surgery, he came to the waiting room and sat with me telling me what he found and what was done. He listened and answered my questions. I would give him 10 stars if I could. He and his staff are the best!

I LOVE Dr Gambacorta, his PA & staff! He performed my rotator cuff repair 6/29/18. He and every person I’ve encountered in both his Union and Transit Rd offices are without fail pleasant & kind. Medical concerns and procedures are thoroughly explained & I am Always greeted with genuine friendliness & compassion by the doctor & everyone else. Should I require further ortho treatment, I won’t go anywhere else. I previously saw Dr Lombardo there and was equally impressed. They both are wonderful!

Dr. Gambacorta is an excellent surgeon. I have the advantage of seeing him operate on patients in the OR. He is skillful and talented. I have confidence in his ability. I've recently found that I'm in need of an ortho doctor. I've chosen him as my provider.

Dr. Gambacorta has had the pleasure of working on me three times now...one shoulder and two knee surgeries. His bedside manner is top notch and the results of the surgeries he's performed have been excellent. Not to mention he's a great guy. I'd recommend him to anyone.

On the advice of a friend who highly recommended Northtowns Orthopedics, P.C. I called and requested an appointment the day after I fractured my left ankle. I was seen by Dr. Gambacorta the same day I called for an appointment. Dr. Gambacorta and his staff are all highly trained and skilled professionals who treat their patients with empathy, respect and concern for the patient as a whole. My ankle was surgically repaired and healed perfectly. I am grateful for the wonderful care I received.

I would give Dr Gambacorta zero stars due to his extremely COCKY attitude during a phone conversation regarding my questioning of his treatment of a my teenager's injury in a track and field mishap. He is incompetent, because he did not see a fracture on an xray from a ER visit at Millard Suburban. It wasnt until I asked for an MRI, that he could see a fracture. All the while he gave my daughter incorrect treatment for 3 months. Please don't be fooled by this narcissistic!!!

Dr Gambacorta was very kind, professional and knowledgable. I got an appt within 24 hrs, got the MRIs sent to him in an hr. They have walkins at 4pm on Transit Rd. Other offices told me they didnt have anything for 2 weeks. His staff was very very kind and got me in. Turned out the fractured pelvis was not visible on the MASH xray. I am really thankful that Dr. Gambacorta's team made so much effort!
