Not very attentive
Very difficult to understand. He recommended cholesterol meds based on my latest blood test. I checked later and discovered he was not looking at my most recent numbers, but a test from 2 years ago. Why would he not look at my most recent numbers? I will not be back.

Just awful
Dr Chen has been my father's cardiologist for a few years. In those years my father has had multiple heart attacks and the only suggestion given by Dr Chen was to take more and more meds, he didn't explain what they were for or why he should take them. When my dad said he was having some very serious side effects due to the meds he was ignored and told to just keep taking them. There was no additional testing to see if things were getting better or worse. He should have been slotted for a bypass after heart attack 2, or even screened or given other options than medication. He no longer qualifies for a bypass because his heart can't take it. It's a mess. Truly. Originally I thought my dad could not be serious about how bad this guy was, so I went to one of the appointments. Dr Chen did not once look at my father face to face, he kept trying to get my father to take deep breaths when he was coughing and couldn't breathe, he talked over my father when he was talking. Just awful.

I like Dr. Chen but on this day he seemed in a hurry and did not explain certain questions I had regarding my received my chart, but rather was a bit annoyed and told me to ignore the my chart and listen to him.

Language problems.
Could not understand him! I had to keep asking him to repeat. He ordered high blood pressure meds; I kept track of my BP for two weeks, sent them to him with a note that I had not started the meds; he replied that they were 'doing their job' and t keep taking them!!! I changed doctors.
