Office Staff is Horrible!!
Dr Trouche is great, but his office staff is horrible. First you can't speak to an actual person when you call, you have to leave a message. Then 90% of the time they don't call you back. I've now left 3 messages going back 10 days about getting my medical records and no response, I guess my next steps are going to be going down there in person since no one will return my calls.

Just the BEST
I have been seeing Dr Trouche for a little over 2 years. I began having some pretty severe depression after my husband passed away suddenly. My previous Psychiatrist had been treating me for over 10 years. After she stated in my last visit with her, ‘she just didn’t know what to do with me’, I grew concerned. A friend recommended Dr Trouche. I made the appointment, it was a while but Good things come to those who wait. It was quite the process of finding the right medication but through Dr Trouche’s experience and knowledge he came through and we found what worked. He’s a gentle and caring doctor who always makes the time, care and effort to find the answers! He has been great to work with throughout this health issue. I so appreciate his willingness to help me get to a better place. Amanda has been wonderful to work with in his office. He is the Very Best!!!

Best Psychiatrist Ive ever had <3
Ive been seeing Dr. Trouche since 2011 and he is absolutely wonderful. Wait times in the afternoon are longer than normal as can be expected because some patients do like to talk more so he does sometimes get behind because he gives them that time without cutting them off which I can appreciate because I can be one of those people during episodic times. He is an amazing psychiatrist and I would not want to see anyone else.

I have been seeing Dr. Trouche since 2004. He can remember every medication I have ever been on and why it didn't work for me. He is a genius. He is a very kind, compassionate man, who always makes time for his patients and never rushes them. I wouldn't trust my mental health to anyone else. His current staff is the best he's ever had. I've had issue with past staff, but these girls are great.

Dr. Trouche is a wonderful doctor and very knowledge about meds. However, you can not deal with his staff Amanda and Courtney. They are just down right NASTY. I have dealt with doctors offices for over 40 years between my dad and mom both being sick and I have NEVER dealt with such two rude people. I just needed some help from them and the situation left me crying the whole night because I was so upset. Such a shame because I am forced to stop seeing Dr. Trouche because of them. If you can deal with his 'gate keepers' than he is your doctor otherwise don't waste your time.

Luv Dr Trouche! He’s so knowledgeable and thorough! He is rarely on time though, but he’s worth the wait. He knows what he is doing and he treats his patients like partners in their healthcare. He’s not condescending in the least! He’s so smart and patient too. I am blessed to have him.

When I scheduled my first visit, the only available time slot was over a month’s wait. I arrived early and filled out the required paperwork only to have the receptionist attempt to charge my co-pay twice. An hour and a half goes by and I am only informed by the front desk upon inquiry that waiting this long or longer is completely normal. No mention of this wait time when i initially made the appointment. I completely understand that waiting at least 30 minutes is fairly standard at a dr.’s office but an hour and a half or longer is wholly unacceptable. The next available appointment for a reschedule with again similar wait time, was another month. No thanks.

Dr.Trouche was my Doctor back in 1989 when I was going through some terrible times in high school. 31 years later I have reconnected with him and he's very compassionate, actually listens and cares for all of his patients. The staff was very friendly and helpful . Dr. Trouche is definitely a rare gem in this field . I highly recommend him .

Dr Trouch is a wonderful psychiatrist. He is caring, patient, and knowledgable. I sometimes have to wait for 30 minutes for my appointment, but I don't mind. He has worked me in during an emergency, and he doesn't rush his patients through the visit. I understand he is doing the same for his other patients.

Dr. Trouche is an exceptional psychiatrist, widely respected & has devoted his career to helping the Lowcountry community with serious mental health problems.. As a 20 yr. hospital RN, I have witnessed his caring & careful attention to patients. His approach toward medication is based on professional experience & sound judgment- the lowest effective dose of medications that have the safest side-effect profile. He is highly ethical and strives to improve the lives of his patients.

Dr Trouche dangerous if hasn't killed soemone with meds he will. Isn't familar with side effects of meds. If says Bi Polar don't believe him Prescribed Bi polar meds for years. I asked him are you sure I am Bi Polar responded I don't know how to diagnose the condition I just prescribe the Meds. He told me at the outset you are Bi Polar here are your meds ended up being committed, because he refused to take me off the meds. Later diagnaosis confirmed treated for wrong condition for 3 long years.

Dr. Trouche is the best psychiatrist and I have also took my mother there and now another person I take there now to see Dr. Trouche. He is very kind and careful about the medicines you take and is very caring. I highly recommend him. My son had been on a seizure medicine that he had a rare side effect with: a medicine his neurologist prescribed and didn't warn him about a rare side effect. I happened to remember when Dr. Trouche gave this to my mom and that's how I knew about the side effect.
