No problem with Dr, but a big problem with policy
My wife and I had him ever since he took over from Dr Estrada and had no problems. Then in 2022, we decided to go closer to home (6 miles, instead of 33). Our records were sent to the local DR, Recently, the local Dr informed that they would be moving and joining a different health group. So my wife called Dr Ballester and wanted an appointment with Dr Ballester. Kathy informed my wife that no way could we go back to Dr Ballester because once we had trnsfered our records they would not take us again. Kathy refused to let my wife talk to the Dr. she said thats final.

Dr Ballester is fantastic his wife Kathy is just horrible. Her attitude is pitiful. Doesn’t care at all about the care of the patients. I’d return to Dr Ballester if she was gone. Even the nurses didn’t like her. I wish he’d fire her. I just have not one good thing to say about her.

Didn’t like the fact I didn’t want the c 19 vac .
This doctor I just didn’t jive with. He was up set I told him that the cdc said mask don’t work. They are all about the Covid . Said I didn’t trust the science because I didn’t want the shot. So he’s not respectful to personal choices. Wrote up several test for me to go take when I just had them 6 months prior . Stating that getting them at Trumbull is better. That’s only his opinion. Also only gave me 1 refill on my scripts so I would have to go back each month for class b scripts that I would normally get 6 months to a yr on. Poor bedside manner all the way around. Seemed like he was frustrated I had no serious medical issue. I only went in for a basic visit to get 2 scripts. Not a way for him to bleed insurance . And his personal opinion on my choices .

Haven't visited, he's my 90 year old mother's doctor. Insists on seeing her every 3 months. Can't get her prescription filled unless she shows up. Even with the coronavirus, she has to show up. Sounds like he has her best interests in mind. Yeah, right.

I have been under Dr. Ballesters care for 8-9 years now. I have to say he is a stand up guy and will go above and beyond for his patients. In my opinion he saved my life. By listening and understanding my needs and giving me the medical attention I needed. He is a old school doctor that is up to date on what's going on in the world we live in today. He is for sure a by the book Doc with following all the rules and regulations doctors need to abide bye these days. I would highly recommend him.

Terrible. No listening skills. Rude and moody. Receptionist is snippy and rude! Dr. Has no interest in your concerns. sont try to question anything because it will get you no where fast! Sorry to say that he shames the reputation by being called a doctor. Feels like you are on probation while you are waiting to see him. Worst experience ever

I went to my previous PCP for 5 years with the same symptoms and everything was attributed to Arthritis ..... finally decided to switch doctors and on my very first appointment with Dr.Ballester, he listened to my symptoms and concerns and ran blood work. I had my diagnosis, Lupus . Dr. Ballester is a wonderful, caring, compassionate person. I highly recommend him.

As Dr. on record he was called during rush 2 ER. For unknown reasons he refused 2 see me. 6 days in & misdiagnosed, his absence caused unecessary confusion. 10 days later, another acute issue - he refused again. Never had a quarrel, not on scheduled medicine... I'm baffled. After nearly 2 decades I had to leave & find a new Dr. & wow. Didn't realize how bad Dr. b was. He has a 3rd world country degree & a temper.
