Dr. Pawel Zymek, MD

Dr Zymek is simply terrific. He implanted a pacemaker in me a month back and all is going well. He did a great job it appears. Solved my issues. What really stood out was the time he spent with my wife and I the night before surgery; informative, reassuring, patient. Great bedside manner that was much appreciated at a streesful time. Would highly recommend.

The staff are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is light-hearted and fun. Dr Zymek is a great physician.

In the last 10 yrs, I've had 2 cardiologists. They run tests but don't do anything for you. Then, my primary care physician recommended Dr Zymek to my husband. Dr Zymek performed an ablation to fix his afib. He no longer needed to take eliquis. Then I had an incident where I was taken by ambulance to the Banner Heart Hosp. I asked for Dr Zymek. Since then, I had a heart loop recorder put in and recently I required a pacemaker. Dr Zymek is the best ever. He explains everything and he and his staff draw pictures so you will understand the issue or procedure. His staff is wonderful, too.

Saw Dr. Zymek after having a bad experience with another cardiologist. He diagnosed my heart block with updated equipment and placed a pacemaker. Also fixed my husbands afib. He is dedicated, caring and empathetic. His staff is wonderful and they actually answer the phone! I’ve seen them be so patient with really difficult patients at the front desk. Dr. Zymek and his staff are the best!

Back in 2016, Dr. Zymek operated on my father when nobody else would. He saved my father's life. While my father would die 3 years later, Dr. Zymek gave my mother 3 more years with her husband (my father). Around that same time my grandmother died of a massive heart attack. I could not imagine the anguish that my mother would have suffered if she lost both her husband and mother at the same time. Dr. Zymek's dedication to his patients was the reason why my mother avoided that awful fate. My brother and I will always be thankful for the care Dr. Zymek gave both my mother and father. Orders tests and tries to reorder same tests. This “cardio” doesn’t even know when he has already ordered a test ! Reported to Medicare.

Prepared summary of notes including rare diagnoses that were completely disregarded. Sent NP in to gaslight and blame a diagnosed confirmed electrical issue on anxiety. Did not understand med interactions. Did not retrieve prior records to compare results as promised. Did not call or schedule follow up when test results came in. Did not want to stay in the room more than 5 minutes and disregarded symptoms. I advised the staff that I would not be back and will not tolerate gaslighting, especially from another female provider who should know better. I also advised the staff I would rather wait for something major to happen versus continue begging male patriarchal drs for help. This type of outdated mentality is what prevents women from accessing the level of care we deserve.

Dr has been my security that he is taking the very best care possible with my heart. I'm brand new to Mesa area and feel so safe in his care. He actually Talks me through every concern I have. I highly recommend his practice and wonderful staff.

I would, and I have recommended Dr. Zymek. I heartily concur with all the 5-star ratings on this page. About 3 years ago, Dr. Zymek surgically treated my A-Fib, and I have had no recurrence. Also, I have thus far not required a pacemaker. In addition, he has gotten my hypertension under control, which no one has been able to do for years. Occasionally I will have someone refer me to a new heart specialist, and I ask them why I should see their specialist instead of Dr. Zymek. There is never a good answer to that question.

For many years I worked with several doctors and struggled with high blood pressure, without resolution. Dr. Zymek solved this and other issues. He is an outstanding cardiologist, an excellent communicator and I feel fortunate to be one of his patients.

There is no better feeling than having total confidence in your doctor - especially when it is your heart. This is the kind of physician Dr. Zymek is. There is no doubt in my mind that my care and my well-being are his priority. And this carries through to the kindness with which I am treated by his staff. Even his office exudes a calming, tranquil peace. I am grateful to be under this special doctor's care and would highly recommend him to anyone needing a cardiologist or electrophysiologist. He is the best!

Dr Zymek is currently treating my husband. Speaking as a RN and family member I can truly say he professional, an expert in his field of Cardiology, has excellent communication skills, and most caring and skilled Cardiologist- would highly recommend him

Dr. Zymek is highly skilled in his field and has a gift of making his patients feel comfortable during visits. He explains tests and results in a simple manner to be understood by everyone and not just medical professionals . The wait time in his office is never long and his staff is very nice as well. Dr. Zymek has given me clarity on my situation and put my mind at ease.

My husband is doing great after ablation, and Medicine adjustment. Tried many, but Dr. Zymek is found to be the most highly educated and sincerely cares.

Came as a new patient after my chiropractor said 'get to your heart doctor for a checkup ASAP".. Dr Zymek immediately discovered A-fib and began testing. My condition deteriorated with chest pains and he quickly shifted gears to accelerate tests, even though he is in process of setting up a new office. Additionally, I ran out of BP meds from another doctor. Called on holiday weekend. He took on the BP meds and ordered them. 'Cardiology with compassion' is a perfect slogan for Dr Zymek.

Dr. Zymek is absolutely fabulous!! He's intelligent, funny, kind, caring, considerate, wonderful bedside manners & is very knowlegable/skilled in his field. He goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are receiving excellent care. He actually listens to his patients and makes sure they are informed and understand all tests and procedures. He made me feel very confident and safe while in his care inpatient during a pretty scary ordeal. Best cardiologist! You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Zymek has the rare gift of empathy. He full conprehends the fears and anxieties of pts with cardiovascular illnesses. He asks a question and then listens. And listens some more. He explains the reasons for procedures or labs and, when results arrive, details the findings in normal English (as opposed to medical jargon). Please, please, Dr. Zymek, don't ever move away!
