Do not see this doctor
This doctor is not empathetic or caring of why you came to see him. He is arrogant and and rude. Doesn't review your file or medical history before your appointment time and will ask you about your history (not in a confirming way, or familiar way. .. like 'tell me more about...' no. he just doesn't know and didn't care to look). He was supposed to send in medication and didn't so, resulting in more pain that has to wait until the weekend is up to be treated. I'm only leaving one star because I have to. he doesn't need his medical license anymore and shouldn't be caring for patients.

Terrible
I’ve had issues with him previously but have been seen regularly for years. Once he forgot which prescription he had given me the last visit. Most recently he said “nice to meet you” as he left…I’ve been seeing him for 4 years

Awful, awful, and awful
Did not say hello, did not introduce himself. Only occasionally made eye contact. Was irritated because he couldn’t find my MRI results from referring doctor in his system. Did not ask me about my pain, history of condition, or anything. Did not examine me or come within 10 feet of me during entire appointment. When I tried to show the specific area of pain on my neck, he blurted from his desk across the room, “I can’t see where you’re pointing.” When he finally found the MRI report, he stated that it wasn’t really bad and he’d seen much worse (I guess I’m a hypochondriac). Does not listen. Does not seem to care. Will never go back.

Zero patient skills, has the approach of an intern
Very disappointed, in 25 years never observed anything like what I experienced - and I have had some of the country's best doctors attending to my need. First, he didn't do his home work, barged in without saying at least 'hello' and asked why I was here - after being referred by one of the top surgeons in the State. He didn't bother to do his homework and study the referral notes? When we attempted to describe the condition that started the issue, he asked 'what is that'? (It's a known nuerological and serious issue - and he didn't know what that is?). When I attempted to show him my notes from Duke, he glanced away, as if this was unimportant. What was he afraid of? He also shook his head peculiarly, and I didn't understand if he was implying 'yes' or 'no'. I had some serious surgery which he again deflected away, repeatedly asking 'Why are you here'? I asked myself which Medical School did he go to ask these questions? ' Bill arrived promptly, after a 15 minute harrowing session!!

My experience with this doctor was terrible. I do not think he has good bedside manners. He did not listen to my concerns and treated patients with disrespect. He would blame a patient when they felt nervous.

Dr. Yerramsetty is an amazing doctor with very good bedside manners. I was having some anxiety related neurological issues. He heard me well and gave ample time explaining my problems to me and gave reassurance on why I shouldn't be worried. He will be my preferred neurologist if I have to visit again.

Dr Yerramsetty... did not preview my case; didn't seem to care to review provided XRAYs/MRI or to learn of my unusual cervical condition; responded to what I said like he doubted what I was telling him - until I put xray images (on my tablet) in front of his face. He may have/should have been embarrassed. Sadly $256 bucks wasted and it cost me 5 weeks waiting, in pain. Then, they failed to send correct info to insurance for what should have been an easy pre-auth (so said Aetna). So yes, I never actually got to see his medical skills. 'Got my treatments at Duke Spine and Pain... a very different experience.

Dr. Yerramsetty was the most unprofessional doctor I have ever had an appointment with. He showed a total lack of care or understanding for my pain. This was a very discouraging experience.

New patient, entire appointment felt rushed, he wouldn't let me explain my issues, just wanted to prescribe more meds instead of investigating further into the issue. Never introduced himself or said hi. He also kept taking his mask off to talk, which I did not appreciate in a pandemic. Will not be returning.

Dr. Y was very rude and seemed like the only thing he wanted was to be done with the appt. It was obvious he had not looked at my primary care chart that was sent over beforehand and never let me finish a sentence without cutting me off to ask another question. He seemed very disinterested in the potential causes of my problem and just prescribed another medication. The whole appt felt rushed and like he couldn't care less. Walked out 5min after he came in, as a new patient, feeling frustrated and angry at how I had been treated. Will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone.

We found Dr. Yerramsetty to be very compassionate and kind! My mom started going numb and lost mobility on the left side of her body. It started at her neck and her arm had gone completely dead. Her leg was starting to go when she was referred to see Dr. Yerramsetty. When we got in the room with him, though, he was very thorough and had a great bedside manner. He asked questions and gave her and me time to talk. He grew really concerned, ordered an MRI and asked for the receptionist to get it scheduled for the same day if at all possible. It was scheduled for less than an hour later downstairs. While Mom was in the machine, he walked out to the waiting room where I was with my one year old pacing the floors and playing. He looked very concerned and said, "it's not good," then proceeded to very calmly and nicely explain what he had seen. He even showed pictures on his phone. They put us all in a conference room and with tears in his eyes and his hand on my mom's, he told us everything.

I've been to 5 Neurologists over 15 years in dealing with Cluster Headaches - Dr. Yerramsetty has been a lifesaver for me. We have developed a close doctor-patient relationship through many tests and trials of things to balance out being able to function to the ever-worsening levels of pain. He himself has made sure to call and check up on me after every hospital stay, intervention treatment, and IV intervention. Pain can make people very short, flair tempers and lash out at caregivers at times - because we want answers as to why we hurt so badly. Dr. Yerramsetty and his staff are people too! They do a fantastic job of keeping the balance tilting the right direction even when the Website Portal is down, when the telephone system is going bonkers and heaven forbid when the power goes out! Pain management is an ever adjusting treatment regiment and I'm SO THANKFUL that Dr. Yerramsetty is my neurologist!

Ditto, to all the comments about this doctor being a first class jerk!!! Never have I ever seen such poor people skills, including just pure rudeness in a physician in my life!! The procedure he performed didn’t help either, maybe a few days only. Would not recommend this Dr Y. to treat anybody or animal ever. Mary. Raleigh

Not very knowledgeable or helpful, unwilling to refer you on to another Dr. or neuro group. Probably best when giving injections or pain meds. If you require a diagnosis I would not choose Raleigh Neuro.

Possibly the ABSOLUTE worst visit I have ever had!! I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone! He treats you as if you're only a number, doesn't listen to your concerns, and has possibly the worst bed side manners EVER!!! Seriously! I was so excited to get some insight to some of the things I have experienced and all I got was complete disrespect! There is not ONE person I would ever recommend this doctor to!
