Dr. Paula Schaffer-Polakof, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Paula for at least 25 years, if not a few more! She has always been so caring, listens well and is very personable. My first pregnancy was high risk and she saved my son's life with an emergency cesarian at 30 weeks. She also delivered my second son safely! I will forever be greatfull to her and her expertise!

Dr. Schaffer- Polakof has always been one to listen to her patients. I went to her over 23 years ago to determine what was wrong with me . Not only did she determine the issue, but i will never forget that call in the office that she took the time in her office to not only completely explain to me but to show me with pictures. I have a lot of illness and she is very caring to understand those and work with my Drs. All these years and i would follow her wherever she goes.

Dr Pokakof is kind, caring, and patient. I never feel rushed during our appointments and she listens intentionally. I highly recommend Dr Paula Schaffer- Pokakof, I’ve been her patient for 24 years.

Dr Shaffer-Polakof is vary care Doctor. She takes time to listen. She cares about her patients. She is a great Doctor.

I've been a patient of Dr. Schaffer - Polakof's for almost 30 years. I have gone to all of her different offices to continue established relationship with her because I have felt so confident and comfortable with her. She has always taken the time to make you feel open to ask questions, address any issues and concerns and she is always available to call you back on the phone. I have been extremely satisified with her and would continue to follow her wherever she'd go.

Dr Schaffer-Polakof is the best doctor. I have been her patient for over 18 years and would follow her anywhere. She is straightforward but caring. She really listens to you and goes above and beyond to make sure you get the best care and have all the information you need to make sound decisions about your health.

Her first question always is "What's going on?" Not just health wise, but with life stuff, cause we all know life affects our health! She is thorough, and listens well. I have not waited more than 15 minutes in the waiting room. Her staff is great too! Highly recommend her.

I have been with her for 14 yrs. She has always been in my corner. She has seen me thru a difficult pregnancy, changes in my body, minor health issues, etc. She listens, she gets mad with me, she laughs with me, she cries with me. She is awesome and i wouldn't trade her for the world! She is knowledgeable, has insight, and a plan of attack for anything you may face women health wise. Just love her!

I have been a patient of hers for a few years now. I have had a great experience with her. She has always responded to my messages on the portal or called me back in a timely manner. I was very pleased with how quick she completed the pap. She did a good job with talking to me during the process to relieve some of my anxiety. When I had questions during the appointment, she answered them with no hesitation. I would recommend her.

At one time I would highly recommend Dr. Schaffer-Polakof - but my opinion has recently changed. I believe that this doctor is in the business of making money over providing care and concern to her patients. It has become apparent why this doctor has switched practices so many times throughout the years as she can be standoffish and difficult to reason with... This doctor does not value loyalty and does not provide a mutual respect for her patients time or hardships.

Horrible on all accounts! I waited for over an hour in the lobby for my appointment. The doctor was very cold and not personable at all. I decided not to go back. Then the office allowed my identity to be stolen and I was billed for services that I never received. I tried to tell them that I did not attend the appointment or receive the services that they were claiming. They would not work with me and threatened to file a claim against me with collections. I had no choice to pay. STAY AWAY!!!!!

I think she is amazing! She was extremely compassionate during a very difficult time for me. She made me feel at ease and I could always tell how much she truly cared. She always made sure I got answers and explained things clearly and thoroughly. I highly recommend her.

Very rough and uncaring. Did not sit down and get to know me and just was not thorough!!!!!

I had a very bad experience. She waited to long to remove my fibroid, then the surgery could not be done laproscopically. My recovery time was triple what it should have been.

She was informative listened to me attentively and caring,,i had an exam and she was vey gentle

For a routine Gyn exam she was very rough (I had spotting for at least 4 days after my pap. This has never happened). She did not take time to talk to me and ask questions. Her demeanor was also very rough. I expect to have a rapport and time for her to get to know my medical history and other relevant information during such a an important yearly exam. She was in, out and done before I could think. Just an uncomfortable experience all around.
