Dr. Paula Ravin, MD

Dr Ravin is the absolute best! She is the most knowledgable, kind, compassionate and caring physician, and we are so fortunate to have found her to treat my mother's illness. She will take over an hour each visit to discuss not just medical related issues, but also life issues and the impact that my mothers illness has on all aspects of her life. She makes great recommendations on how to achieve a better quality of life, and not just through medical means, but also behaviorial changes. Just an amazing Physician who seems to literally know every answer to our questions. Would highly recommend her to anyone needing her services....

In dealing with Dr. Ravin for my mom's Parkinson's, I really wish I could like her. She spends time listening to what patients have to say, but ultimately does it the way SHE wants to without explanation. The amount of pills my mom takes has drastically increased in the last year (23/day!) leaving her feeling drugged up & tired all day long. Some prescriptions overlap for certain aspects of Parkinson's, some are dangerous to be taken together! While my mom just takes everything w/o questioning it, we've found that it is causing more mental fog, liver problems, oversleeping (12 hours easily daily) &dramatic weight loss. Waiting for callbacks is futile. Her assistant S says important messages are passed on, but we often don't hear back for over 24 hours on business days. For a doctor who seems to devote so much time & care, you would think sharing info would be a higher priority & that maybe stepping back to reassess & change things could happen as well. It is incredibly frustrating!
