Our son has the rare diagnosis of post inflammatory occlusion of the portal vein causing a plethora of serious medical problems.Dr Novelli stented open his blocked portal vein via his jugular vein (neck), a procedure that two other major teaching hospitals told us could not be done. There is no doubt in my mind that Dr Novelli saved our son's life.World class innovative compassionate care.Rich B. Life saver
Dr Novelli completed the TIPS procedure on my partner during a medical emergency. She quite literally saved her life in a moment of crisis, using leadership, innovation, and kindness to lead our family through one of the most challenging events of our lives. She was very thorough when communicating with our family about the medical details of surgery after it had taken place and helped to alleviate a bit of our stress as loved ones regarding what to expect. She was very professional and kind, highly recommend.

Lost my appointment!!
I was very eager to have my appoint with her as I have been suffering from pelvic congestion syndrome and have been in excruciating pain for years. Most drs don't even recognize the condition so I was excited to hsve found a doctor who could treat me. I jumped through hoops to get my Mri disc to her in time for the appt. I spent 4 hours total in misery, a good chunk of it enduring sitting through the Resident's very extensive questions. I felt confident that I was finally getting heard. The Dr came in, she seemed very nice. The mri didn't show anything helpful, she did believe I had pelvic congestion and wanted more testing. I went to pain mgt the following week and they wanted to read her report only it was not there! My entire visit with Dr. Novelli was MISSING like I never went in and spent hours documenting my concerns?! I emailed her assistant who said she would check, then never got back to me. What a waste of time! I wouldn't feel confidant having her do surgery. I still suffer!

Unresponsive
After my initial consultation with Dr. Novelli (that had to be rescheduled due to her not showing up), I regained confidence in her to go through with a procedure. I got the MRI and reached out to her office on three separate occasions over the course of 4 weeks to try to get the procedure scheduled. I only received one response from her office that they were awaiting results, (that I had in hand). I told them I had the results and wanted to meet with her to go over them and get the procedure scheduled. I have heard nothing since. I met with another independent doctor and have the procedure scheduled for tomorrow. So upsetting that she kept ignoring me time after time.

Ms. Novelli left me highly unimpressed with her interpersonal skills in a high stress, painful procedure occurring in a hospital facility. I found her personal style is imposing, inattentive to patient needs at hand, intimidating, unprofessional, and frankly, completely obnoxious.
