An incredible doctor
Dr Klein is unlike any other doctor I’ve had. She is direct but very kind. She treats you like a person, instead of a patient. She creates the best environment in a really challenging time. I truly would trust her to care for any and all of my closest family members. Everyone should want to be seen by her

RUN FAST!
Chemo-Crazy Mad Scientist. I'm one of the few who got along with her, but after 4 chemos (with another oncologist, who left) and 6 surgeries, including a double mastectomy, Klein wanted me to have 16 more chemos. I sought a second opinion at NYU, who had 7 radiologists and their Tumor Board review my case. and concluded I was cancer free and did not require any more treatments. Met another young woman yesterday, completely debilitated by the many chemos and 20 radiations Mt. Sinai doctors (and Dr. Klein) made her have. RUN FAST AND DON'T LOOK BACK! ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION! Mt. Sinai is in it for the $$$!

My Hero
Dr. Klein was my oncologist for about 15 years. She has lots of energy and a “large” personality, which I always found refreshing. Going to see her was like visiting a friend. I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2005, and I always credit her for saving my life early on. She was also great about explaining different available treatments and often left it up to me to choose the path I felt most comfortable taking. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Cancer experience with Mt. Sinai's Dr. Paula Klein
Her best years are obviously behind her. In my experience Dr. Klein is a self-promoting medical bully who lacks self awareness but does not care one wit about the patient or their wellbeing. Aside from being rude/disengaged she was unprepared as was clear from her questions to the patient that she did not even bother to review the chart prior to the visit. Whenever she did not recieve an answer she became annoyed and sarcastic. While complaining about continually experiencing serious side effects from medication Dr. Klein prescribed Klein became offended/mocking and disbelieving medical bully who acted as though patient pain was being exaggerated or faked. She raised her voice and walked out of the room. Her callous behavior manifested in the office visit belies her ability to do no harm especially in a situation where compassion and expertise should go hand-in-hand. Left in tears of pain, anger and blamed myself for going to her. Expected better from Sinai. Just horrible.

I have breast cancer (1st time) and had typical questions for Dr. Paula Klein. I'm a tough NY'er but this woman made me cry three times from dealing with her insensitive treatment. 3 separate times after I asked a question she looked at me like I was crazy and pointed her finger to her head and said things like, "Stupid, Stupid, Stupid" or "OMG, I can't take these stupid questions patients throw at me" and "(Throws up her papers) I give up...these patients torture me!" I was asking about other treatments so it wouldn't reoccur. 2) She yelled at me again for something I was asking, and I started tearing up, as I was desperate for info & scared. She stormed out saying, "OK, I'm done!" and the two nurses, one an intern, told me she does it all the time and the intern cried, as well. She was horrified. There's more but with so many bad reviews, your nuts to choose her. Good luck.

Very insensitive to patient's questions and her and her staff are not considerate to patient's who speak Spanish as their first language. I had to ask so many times for an interpreter very unprofessional. You can't draw on a white board the affects of chemo on your patient's cancer and expect them to understand you speaking english.

May 2018. Most stunning and unprofessional experience with Dr. Klein, so much so I left for MSK. Highlights was her telling me "Did you breastfeed your children?" Me- "Yes" Dr. Klein "Well--alot of good that did ya, you still got breast cancer! Ha!". She also claimed to not recognize me btw rooms because my hair was in a bun???-and she kept chanting to me, "Avatar" over and over again, which was reference to a clinical trial she wanted me join asap. Best of luck and Avoid her like the plague!
