Dr. Paula Foust, MD

She did not address a serious error I made in filling out her patient information sheet. I called and left a message to please call me but to no avail. This has caused me mental anguish for 2 years. I should have never gone to her for help.

I came online looking for Dr. Foust, I really hope she sees this review, 16 years ago she was my OBGYN. I was 17 years old, pregnant and afraid,. I was also high risk as I had type 2 diabetes. Under a lot of stress and worry, Dr. Foust made me feel comfortable and took very good care of me. That was probably the last and only time, my blood sugar numbers were under control! The office that she practiced out of at that time, which was at Saint Mary's Hospital in Richmond VA, had a box for other patients to donate items for my baby, one patient even hand knitted my son a blanket, Dr. Foust ended up leaving town, while I was pregnant but she knew I loved her so much, she flew in when I was in labor! I will NEVER forget her and wish her all the best of everything, I am now 34 and my son, 16.

This doctor IS AMAZING! Amazing bedside manner, AMAZINGLY intelligent beyond words! If you have a diagnosis and you need a second opinion she is surely the doctor to come to!! I have been her patient for many years and I TRUST her! These negative reviews are a FAR, FAR, FAR cry from who she is and how she practices medicine! She has practiced a very long and I recommend her to all of my friends and family that see her now too!! You won't be disappointed unless you are asking for something from her medically that she doesn't agree with because it is unsafe!!

My primary physician referred to Dr. Faust and I am very pleased. The staff was attentive from the moment I checked in with the front desk. I was very impressed with the assistant , Traci who took my vitals and reviewed the primary doctor's notes. After Traci verified all the pertinent information and left I put the gown on and Dr. Faust came almost immediately. She was totally prepared to discuss my concerns and told me my options. I had a pelvic exam which confirmed her diagnosis. The exam was quick and I had no discomfort. I am 83 and know what to expect at a GYN visit. I am very comfortable and pleased to have Dr. Faust as my doctor.

She came into the exam room with an intern and medical assistant. While examining me she laughed (didn’t say why), and a few minutes later she made a very personal and humiliating comment. In my years of visiting a gynecologist, if the Dr. had something very personal to say (and someone else was in the exam room), he/she would ask to see me in their private office after the exam. She didn’t give me any suggestions for a prescription. After the 3 of them left the exam room, I just sat there in shock and quietly cried. She also, unbelievably, wrote up a false comment in my medical portal saying she told me about a medical article regarding my problem. She had NO such talk with me. Definitely DIDN’T happen. I have NO idea where that came from. Never going back there and certainly will never recommend her.

I saw her years ago and was so traumatized by her that I was in a severe slump. When I asked her about renewing my prescription for oral hormones, she went into a tirade about how I could drop dead in her office at any moment and she was not about to prescribe the Estratest for me which the gynecologist in my former town after doing my hysterectomy had given me. She said I was hanging To life by a shoestring and she would not add to my demise. She lashed out at me to the point that even her nurse seemed ready to lose it. And here I am 12years later. I would never recommend that woman. My advice...find another doctor.

This Doctor was rude and unapologetic for her an error she made which ended up in a surgical procedure that may have been avoided otherwise. Not to mention a very painful experience that two other gyns didn't understand why it should cause such pain if done correctly. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't trust this doctor with your health!

I have been Dr. Paula Foust's patient for almost 8 years now. She has been wonderful for me. She is excellent in every way! I never have to wait long for my appointment. She works with those that are financially challenged. She even once called me personally about one of my health concerns when she could have had her secretary do it. I highly recommend Dr. Foust for ANY feminine medical concerns. I wish all doctors were like her. Sincerely, Leigh Ann ;)

I can’t say enough about Dr Foust & her staff, I have never waited very long for an appointment always spent time explaining and answering questions. She is Patient & careing I recomend her always first.

She gives people PTSD with her false diagnoses!

I was surprised by her expertise. She discovered and treated a problem I had not shared with her.

I am unsure of how this woman is still practicing - You get a hysterectomy You get a hysterectomy You get a hysterectomy She’s the Oprah of unnecessary medical procedures My other comments are the same as others - waiting for two hours has been routine each time I’ve seen her.

My experience echoes the poor reviews I have just read, and it saddens me. I scheduled a routine PAP/annual exam (1st & only appt. w/Dr. Foust.) I waited in exam room on table for an hour, then proceeded to wrap sheet around my body, walked down hall where I heard laughter & voices. Doctor was shocked to see me. Doctor hurriedly examined me back in room , laughing away my concerns. I have DECADES of medical history & worked as patient advocate. DO NOT walk through these doors. Doctor: LISTEN!!!

I am with Dr Foust for several years now. I had only routine visits, but I was treated each time respectfully. Waiting time was acceptable. She took time to answer my questions thoroughly, when I had any.

You have about a 90% chance catching dr. Foust in a really foul mood when you visit her office. Another thing is dr. Foust seems to think that none of us are capable of doing research about our own bodies and quickly tells you not to question her medical authority. I'm sorry but dr. FOUST should read this article from Harvard Medical School and also she should know that many people aren't interested in invasive surgeries when not needed or even testS and many of us like to discuss other options

I had gone to her three times for routine paps, each time I left feeling worse for even going. At first I just blew if off as her having a bad day but after the third visit I came to the conclusion that she is just not nice period. I never had any medical issues for her to deal with, it was always basic care. I felt like she didn't like people very much and went out of her way to show it.

I was dating an unfaithful boy. I was first diagnosed with chylmidia. Biggie but not, I took my antibiotics and all was well. 6 months later, I have what I prayed was a bad yeast infection. Paula simply said, "Yup! That looks like herpes!" and put all utensils away and disappeared into the next room. Fifteen minutes after she let me stew in my own pity, I opened the door to find her laughing with a nurse. When I finally had my annual, the Dr. greeted me with, "Oh! A normal visit this time!"

I wouldn't recommend her to any of my friends or family members. she is the worst doctor I have ever met in my entire life. her bedside manner is very unprofessional. she doesn't care about her patients the needs of her patients she doesn't care about their feelings she also doesn't listen she likes to brush people off. I had a hysterectomy done by her September 9th 2016 told her that I was not ready to go home the next day she sent me home not even 24 hoursI need to know people's thoughts.

Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor! Waited an hour for literally 2 min of her time. She does not care and the only things she does well is expressing her lack of concern for you. She was not interested in seeing my medical history from my former GYN that retired. In fact she laughed about me even bringing it. Walked out of the room...no questions no goodbye. I sat there undressed in shock for about 5 min until I realized I should get dressed. Don't waste your time with this doctor!

Had a follow up ultrasound with her for 11am. Was told to drink water for appt. Drank 60 ounces, and waited, waited, WAITED until I couldn't wait any longer. Ended up leaving the facility (without being seen, she never came in), at 12:45 (nearly 2 hours after appt time). I guess I had interrupted her lunch break because I could hear the nurses laughing & microwaving their lunches in the other room). I guess my care wasn't her concern.
