Dr. Smolen has treated my kids for 18 years. Some doctors believe they learned all there is to know about medicine in medical school or from a textbook. Dr. Smolen knows that parents have a unique perspective on their children's health and engages as a partner in treatment of the whole child. Dr Smolen is a doctor who literally has written the book on effective health management in the pediatric population. Nonetheless, he always has time and appreciates the parents' role in child well-being.

Saw Dr. Smolen for years. He was always upfront about diagnoses and was caring every time I saw him. If I had questions after hours, he was always happy to answer. Really a great doctor and better man.
