Second surgery performed by Dr Peters
Three years ago I needed surgery for a total knee replacement. My orthopedic surgeon suggested a specialist and I asked which one would you choose if it were your knee. Without hesitation, he suggested Dr Peters and the Carrell Clinic. Great success with this surgery on my left knee. Fast forward three years and I need my right knee replaced. I would not have considered anyone but Dr Peters to perform the surgery. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, but he has surrounded himself with a very professional staff that will bend over backward to help you. I highly recommend Dr Peters, his staff, and Carrell Clinic

Simply the best!
Dr. Peters gives credence to the term 'Professional'. Sometimes the best surgeons, don't have the best bedside manner or follow-up. Not only is Dr. Peters the best hip surgeon in Dallas, but he is personable and genuinely concerned about patient outcomes. Not only that, other surgeons have a tendency to recommend surgery FIRST. Not, Dr. Peters. He made sure every possible avenue other than surgery was made available to me first. No pressure of any kind. Straight shooter Dr. Peters, and simply the Best. Unqualified recommendation. This also includes the follow up assistance from Cambre, Mark Ellen and his entire team. I consider myself lucky to be within Dr. Peters and his entire team's care.

Bilateral Knee Replacment
During the 2 plus years of my knee treatments, before bilateral knee replacement surgery, I gained absolute trust with Dr. Peters practice. The staff were very professional and helpful. I was amazed at the number of patients that I encountered that spoke very highly of Dr. Peters. While having my knees X-rayed, I met an ER Nurse who had both her knees replaced by Dr. Peters years ago. I asked why she was getting an X-Ray and she said so he could replace her hip. Her comments definitely helped me feel more comfortable. After surgery, while I was in the North Central Surgical Center, the entire staff were absolutely outstanding. I never felt as if I was being neglected. The nurses were very professional and caring and kept me informed of what I was expected to do. The PT staff were knowledgeable and understanding but expected me to walk as soon as possible. Today is 4 weeks after surgery and I am walking without assistance and driving. Very little pain during the entire process.

Success-Plus!
Everyone from the first receptionist, before my knee surgery to the last person who took me to my car, did an amazing job. I felt that all the nurses, technicians, and other support people really cared about me. The anestheiologist explained what he would be doing, and he and his team were great. The job that Dr. Peters did far exceeded what I had planned for. He checked each morning to see how I was doing, and was realistic about what I should expect going forward. I had expected this to be much more traumatic than it has been. The re-hab people in the hospital and at my home, who wre preferred by Dr. Peters, were knowledgeable and have been very helpful towards my recovery. I think this is all because Dr. Peters has a plan for his patients, and he and the support people at Carrell Clinic care.

Return Offender
Dr Peters has replaced both knees and a hip over the years and in all instances I received great care from him and the Staff at the Carrell Clinic and North Dallas Surgery Center. He called my contact and explained to them what happened during the procedures and how the surgeries went and what I could expect along the rehab journey.

Excellent Results
Had left hip replacement in 2009. Immediate relief of pain after surgery. As a D1 athlete in college, I’m very active. I haven’t had any issues and the hip is still going strong after 25 years.I highly recommend Dr. Peters. It takes a while to get an appointment because he’s excellent at hip surgeries, but worth the wait!

Excellent outcome
The entire team at the Carrell Clinic is amazing! I am two weeks post op from a total knee replacement. My range of motion is excellent and I am able to walk without a walker or cane. I could walk without the walker after the first week and without a cane a few days later. I attribute this to Dr. peters experience and expertise and my dedication to physical therapy. Ferdi Tan, my PT from Baylor Scott & White in home therapy, is excellent. PT has been hard and painful, but my efforts have yielded amazing results. Lots of ice and elevation have been essential in pain control along with the pain medication. I have been easily able to contact the office staff with any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Peters if you are seeking total knee replacement.

Dr Peters - The Best
I met Dr Peters in 1996 and my experience/surgery with him could not have been any more positive. He has always taken his time to answer questions and address concerns. My revision (3rd overall) has lasted 27 years, far exceeding all projections at the time. Frankly, I owe Dr Peters a huge thank you for my quality-of-life over the years especially when I look back at the pre-surgery planning my revision required. I feel lucky and blessed to have him as my doctor.

After meeting the doctor we noticed a couple rather angry after checking out . We were waiting to see Cambre to schedule our next visit. The couple were voicing their frustration. As we were ushered in to Cambre’s office , we sat for a while as she called and ordered food . The bilateral knee surgery was performed in December 2021. My husband kept asking to see the doctor. His Left Knee was in excruciating pain! Dr. Peters finally came by two days later letting us know he was in a hurry to leave for Christmas. Follow up appointments, we NEVER saw the doctor . We had concern as the left knee was not healing well and was not responding to physical therapy. There was a 12 degree deflection in full Extention . We got a 2nd opinion knee specialist who looked at the X-rays and his first words was “the knee is crooked “. He ordered the operation notes and said he couldn’t understand. A 3rd knee specialist agreed , ordered a full body scan , said the knee was not lined up correctly!

Very disappointing results
My TKR surgery went badly with very negative results requiring a complete revision total knee replacement surgery to correct everything. I would have benefitted from a practice that listens to it's patients, pays better attention to details and does not make me feel like a number rather than a person. I would not recommend this doctor.

Total Knee Replacement
Don't do it. I had a total knee replacement in March of 2021 and have more pain now that I did prior to the surgery. I explained this to Dr. Peters office at my 3, 6 and 9 month appts. There is still no resolution to the pain nor any explanation as to why this happened. I did 10 months of intense physical therapy and have range of motion to 125 degrees but experience stiffness and pain every single day with every single step. I know you're thinking it won't happen to you but beware.
