I was referred by my ophthalmologist in Covington , Ga due to uncontrollable pressure in one eye. I had been treated for over 25 years with two trab. surgeries on that eye . My physician advised me that I was going to lose sight in that eye and wanted another opinion. At my consult , Dr. McManus explained how he felt he could accomplish a third surgery. He also in no uncertain terms explained the consequences if the surgery failed. I felt he was very confident. The surgery was a great success. I am now almost a year out with a pressure in that eye of 10. Needless to say, " HE IS THE BEST" Dean, Covington, Ga.

Put simply, Dr. McManus is brilliant. He correctly diagnosed my closed-angle glaucoma, which was misdiagnosed as open-angle by a previous doctor. He operated on both of my eyes and I have no doubt that without him, I would have lost a lot of my eyesight. And, I no longer have to take drops. If you have glaucoma, he is your man.

I like the good doctor quite well. However he seems to have a high volume practice and his staff are not very efficient. This is my third visit and once again it takes more than 45 minutes to actually see the doctor. Perhaps this is the nature of modern medicine but I have commented each time and been assured by both the doctor and his office manager it is not supposed to be that way. In short do not come to this office unless you have ample time to sit and wait.

I do not think there is a better doctor in the City of Atlanta. He is truly great! He knows his stuff! I would not consider using anyone else.
