We made an appointment explicitly for Preventive Skin Cancer Screening (PSCS). Upon arrival, we verified that the appointment was for PSCS. Prior to the exam, we reiterated with the physician that we only wanted the covered PSCS. We turned down follow-up lab work just in case it was not part of the covered PSCS. Before leaving the office following the exam, we verified with the billing receptionist that we were to be billed for PSCS. When our claim came through insurance, it was not coded as PSCS and this place now claims to not offer, nor have they ever offered PSCS. The doctor was fine. The wait of over an hour was ridiculous at their satellite clinic in Thomasville. They had just the one doctor and a PA and when I arrived there were 12 patients waiting (filling up every seat in the small waiting room). Definitely overbooked.
