Dr. Hyde did "Whipple" on me in 1997 at Scripps. He was extremely kind and caring. He sensed my uneasiness and talked to me with terms I could understand. I felt a great deal of trust after that. I think I spent 7-9 days in hospital but he was there every day. Great Dr and humanitarian.

My gastroenterologist recommended Dr Hyde who literally saved my life. Dr Hyde has a wonderfully warm and compassionate bedside manner. He explains everything very clearly and listens to everything I have to say. I am unbelieveably fortunate to have had Dr. Hyde as my surgeon and Brooke as his right hand woman. The two of them are a fountain of great practical medicine!

Dr Hyde is just a one off. He's one of those surgeon's that you meet who is a rare breed. They don't make them like that any more. He is not only meticulous but he doesn't have an ego. He is very experienced and knowledgeable. It took me a while to do my due diligence and I have found him and Dr. Barttlebort to be an amazing team. To go into a frightening surgical procedure feeling confident that you have made the right choice is a wonderful feeling. 50 stars if I could. His n/a Brooke is A+++

The best doctor I think I've ever encountered period. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and goes beyond expectations to ensure you are in good hands. Very impressed.

Dr. Hyde removed my second stomach and when complications arose, he did what he had to do to get me in a better situation. He worked with Dr. Sunil Bhoyrul and Dr. Andrew Mayer, both at Scripps, to help me with my Gastroparesis and other medical conditions. He called my parents every day when I was hospitalized (they were in Alaska) for the 6 weeks I was in Scripps. He also called and/or saw me daily. He is the best surgeon anyone could ever ask for.
