Told me my tests were normal and that I wasn't a cardiac patient. Didn't look at prior health history, wouldn't prescribe BP meds unless I brought him written proof of readings taken at home; even though readings were consistently high and a family history of cardiac disease. Told me blood pooling, discoloration, and swelling of legs was normal and that I needed to work on the muscles in my legs more if that were an issue...hah!

Rude and no patient awareness
Long wait time; took no time to understand the issues my 81yr. Old father was explaining; spoke to him with disrespect; when my father tried to talk he would cut him off as if what he was saying was unimportant. When we left my father advised I should go to every appointment because that was the nicest he had ever been. This is unacceptable and I pray that when the new management comes in they will take a look at the reviews.

Very friendly and reassuring
Dr. Holcomb was so easy to talk to and gave me peace of mind about what was going on. He actually listened to me (unlike any other dr i have seen) and ordered as many tests as we could to figure out what the problem was. I am very pleased

Don't go here.
Rude. Has 3 other people come in and ask the same questions before he comes in. One hour and 45 minutes since you arrived for the appointment. Doesn't give the same answer from visit to visit. Seems like he is trying to sell something.

Dr. Holcomb I off the list
Dr. Holcomb put me on a treadmill without telling me to hold my negative inotropic drug Diltiazem. My heart rate never got up to the target rate. Surprise? So then he ordered a medication stress test which I passed. Now a year later and he wants me to get back on the treadmill without any mention of the Diltiazem even though most protocols that I have checked indicate that the Diltiazem needs to be held. Now he won't reorder any of my heart meds till I schedule a treadmill. I haven't had any chest pain whatsoever and my only problem is atrial fibrillation and it is well controlled by medication. I think that money for himself and the hospital are primary in his mind. I suppose I'll need to go to Knoxville for a decent doctor.

Dr. Holcomb is an excellent Cardiologist. For 8 years he has treated my husband for Atrial Fib, high blood pressure and recommended a sleep study for his sleep apnea which we believe was a life saving move on my husbands part in taking Dr. Holcombs advice. If you need a physican that you see personally , not a Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Holcomb would be a great choice,
