Very experienced and caring.
Dr Ho is very experienced and caring. He listens well and does a good follow-up. His team responds easily to demands. I find him very focused on my well-being, and mostly very thorough in his testing. I have been seeing him for a few years now, and feel completely confident that I am receiving top care.

ZERO STARS!!!
He is the absolute worst Dr you could ask for. Completely uncommunicative. What is the point of having a Dr if you can’t reach him or get anything from him. Why do they still have him in this hospital?

I'd have given a no star if I could. After 2 ER visits with severe chest pain, Dr HO refused to see me until my symptoms went away!!! I tested for Covid via his offices request and they still didn't want to see me until I had no symptoms. My symptoms were from my chest pain and not covid. He was very distant and cold, I felt like I was wasting his time. He requested a heart monitor for me, I contacted his authorization coordinator after waiting over a week with no authorization in the system yet. She didn't submit my paperwork and now almost 2 weeks later I still don't have an authorization as the form she did send (once I called her down on the delay) was incomplete. I get zero response from his office when sending messages. I worked for a Dr within JMMC for almost 20 years and I"m shocked at this treatment including the staff. All around a terrible experience!!

Very negative experience. Cold, indifferent, arrogant, impersonal - shuts down any meaningful dialogue with patients with his attitude and demeanor. This is an abysmal interpretation of how to be a clinician who partners with patients.

i WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYBODY!! Dr. Ho is the worse doctor you can ever have. Few years ago he ordered for me Nuclear Stress Test (which I did not need). If I would listen to him I could be dead (this test is very dangerous). Thanks God I worked all my life in a medical field and I was able to control his actions. I found a different cardiologist in Berkeley and she proof to me that Dr. Ho is very dangerous to his patients. Beside this I learned that he was receiving incentive money for each patient he recommended for testing. In some cases it was even $10.000 (for Nuclear Stress Test). It is very inhuman. Doctor Ho orders a test just to make money. P. S. I decided to respond because yesterday I received TWO messages: (copying) "JM Hosp NuclearStressTest, Mobile (925) 674-2572" Because I don't have any cardiac issue I worry that Dr. Ho just needs money. John Muir Hospital headquarters should be aware of this!!!!!!

If you need someone to be consultative about your cardiac issue, this is not your guy. Dr. Ho is not interested in any questions you may have and will be annoyed if you have any.

Dr. Ho is cold, impatient, rude and un-caring. My father spoke fluent English with an accent. Dr. Ho behaved as if he doesn't understand a word, completely ignored my father and asked me to translate. Throughout all our encounters, he seemed uninterested. Instead of giving us some time to digest the info and answer any questions, he spoke minimumly and couldn't wait to leave the room.

I had this uncaring and rude dude some time ago. He used to be kind and helpful but acted like the medical problem I was diagnosed with was non-existent. It's a potentially life threatening illness. Maybe he did this so he wouldn't be responsible if anything happened to me. Looks like other patients are getting a clue too as his ratings (as of today) have fallen down to a "2". Staff is rude & think they're physicians. Awful doctor. Would only recommend him to those I hate.

Dr. Ho is a knowledgeable and patient physician. He asked pertinent questions regarding my health history, and did not rush the appointment. He explained clearly and carefully all of the treatment options and medicines for my condition. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.
