Loved them until they kicked me out
I got a call from the nurse about some bloodwork I had done at a recent visit, she didn’t give me any information, just told me one of my tests came back high and the Dr. wanted me to go to the ER. I had no idea what tests had been run so I asked her to put the results in my portal so I could take that to the ER. I waited all night and I didn’t receive the it so I called them in the morning and asked them to send it again and the nurse got angry with me and told me I should have just gone and had them re-run my bloodwork. I tried to explain I didn’t know what bloodwork had been run and she just kept yelling at me. I asked her again to please send me the results so I could go to the ER and I hung up and called my primary doctor. She had me come in and she could see the lab results so she just re did the bloodwork and it was normal. I called Dr. Demarcos office and let them know it was ok and they sent me a certified letter telling me not to come back because I did not go to the ER.

Highly recommended
I really feel that Dr. DeMarco listens to my concerns and takes what I have to say as important in his decision making on my health needs. He is kind and respectful. He spends the amount of time he needs with me and doesn’t rush off to other patients. Even though he is not in my medical network of doctors, I don’t mind paying out of pocket to see a rheumatologist that believes in my pain from fibromyalgia and doesn’t write me off as just a complaining woman.

Simply the best!
Dr. DeMarco listened carefully, took time to evaluate the recent hospital reports, followed up with blood work, and helped me feel more empathetic and also hopeful. In general, I appreciate his in-depth knowledge of rare autoimmune disorders and conservative approach to whether to "medicate or wait." To me, Dr. DeMarco is a life-saving treasure.

Excellent care and compassion
Dr. DeMarco is one of my favorite doctors! He had to give me a diagnosis that I wasn't happy about but he did it with care and compassion that was so appreciated. Dr. DeMarco has always worked with me over the years to help me feel as well as possible and advocated for me with insurance for treatments. I highly recommend Dr. DeMarco and his practice!

Dr. DeMarco is always kind, patient, encouraging and my true healthcare partner. He is very responsive and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. DeMarco is truly a gift to patients like me who are complex and probably a bit challenging.

AVOID!!!!
Time for him to go. Doesn't listen just him with his head down at his standable computer. Truly doesn't listen as he didn't mention anything I said and instead made focus on that my pain is so bad I'm having trouble sleeping and although past 2 visits he told me it was very normal to have some "blues"/anxiety after having a yet diagnosed illness for 2 years but then this past visit YELLED at both myself and my teen son that I "should just go check into a psychiatric/mental hospital indefinitely!!!! Yelled at my son again who was trying give his perspective what he notices w me and proceeded to kick us out. I asked him to stay as I had a question which was a legitimate concern about MY health....I asked "what is it going take to get a diagnosis?".....he refused to answer, threatened call security and ran off. Wow, some "professional". Avoid unless you want powerful meds thrown at you but to answers, no diagnosis still and just repeat seeing him every so often. WORST. TIME RETIRE!!

He is tops, have been a patient for 16 years. After countless physicians, he had my diagnosis in a short time and sent me to an oncologist as well. It’s sad I see a bad review? What? At times he’s swamped with more patients in his practice then anyone else, I’m amazed he keeps up. No one can provide better care and answers.

Dr. DeMarco is a sophisticated, World-Class physician in multiple respects and in multiple fields, who actually cares about his patients and their improvement. When I was around 21 (I'm 26 now) he diagnosed me with a rare (roughly 1 in 5,000) metabolic, degenerative, connective tissue disease. Before Dr. D I had spent months going to highly reputed specialists and being sent on wild goose chases, endured 7+ MRIs, Multiple CT scans, and X-rays, costing thousands upon thousands of dollars, thanks to ignorant, negligent, or even potentially reckless physicians ... and to make a long story short it took him all of 5 minutes in-office to diagnose me. He gives it to you straight. Dr. DeMarco's training and service with the Navy and his *exceptional knowledge* allow him to do what other doctors can't do. He is a caliber unto himself. I am surprised and skeptical to see other reviewers say anything negative about his bedside manner. My experience was of unparalleled and highest quality.

I've long been a patient of Dr. Paul DeMarco and Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates in the Wheaton, MD location. He is a caring, attentive, and professional physician who has worked well in the past with other medical professionals with my care. I would recommend him to friends, family, and others and have already done so.

It was my first appointmement as a new patient. I can not say I was impressed. Not at all warm and engaging. Spent most of his time typing. Had not taken the time before my appointment to read my complex medical history.

Dr. DeMarco was so tuned into everything - I had a plethora of information for him and he took it all in easily and patiently answered my questions with a terrific bedside manner. He was supportive and kind and suggested we look at Xrays together which was really nice! (Other experiences with doctors have been waiting nervously in the exam room until they come back and give you a couple of words where you need to run home and ask Dr. Google LOL). Not so here - Dr. DeMarco went through the Xrays

Thorough and thoughtful; ready to discuss in detail various treatment options; listens for questions, even if they are half-formed. I disputed my diagnosis of osteoporosis with him; he took no offense but explained the basis for the diagnosis in depth. His participation in research puts him at the leading edge of treatments.

I had my first appointment with Dr. DeMarco at 11:15 am they asked me to be there at 10:45 so I did. So far no problems, very nice staff and place. At 11:15 am I was in the room waiting for the doctor... and I waited and waited... At 12:15 pm I decided it was time to go, Doctor DeMarco never came. I drove an hour to be there and another hour back, I deserve respect.
