I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Chubb. From the moment he walked into the room, his negative energy was palpable. This was my second visit with him, and unfortunately, it was just as bad as the first. Initially, I thought he might have been having a bad day, but it’s clear now that this is just how he interacts with patients. He was condescending and dismissive, referring to my pain as mere “complaining,” which was both unprofessional and insensitive. On top of that, he did a poor job explaining my condition and treatment options, leaving me feeling frustrated and unheard. I would not recommend seeing Dr. Chubb.

Dr. Idiot
Cancels surgeries 2-3 months in advance so he can go on vacation and then has no other time for the rest of year to accommodate already planned surgery.

Does he even care?
He spent about 4 minutes with me as a new patient. Told me I couldn’t get the brace I needed in office because my insurance wouldn’t cover it… shocker-they did. And the nurse helped me. Completely dismissed my concerns and treated me like I was there to get drugs. Nope I just don’t want permanent damage to my hand and needed to see someone. I will be seeing someone else because with that one appointment

Very Rude
Dr. Chubb was very rude as if he just wanted to get the appointment over with. He showed no interest in letting me explain my symptoms . My appointment was a whole 5 minutes. He asked if there were improvements since our last 5 minute appointment and barely let me even provide details before interrupting me and telling what he expected for an answer. Worst experience ever. It was very discouraging because the pain in my hands has been scary and taken a toll on me. I hope I can find a doctor who cares, because Dr. Chubb clearly expressed that he does not.

On August 25, 2020 I saw Dr. Paul Chubb at Sun City Ortho. I had been experiencing wrist pain and wanted to get it checked out. Dr. Chubb spent less than 10 minutes total with me from examination to “treatment.” From the get go I told him that I was to be consulted before he did anything that would add money to my bill. There was a verbal agreement. He gave me a steroid shot and a wrist brace that I was told weren’t too expensive and would likely be covered by my insurance anyways. I paid my $25 copayment and left. Weeks later I was sent a bill, after my insurance had already paid. The bill was for over $1,000, for a ten minute visit, one steroid shot, and a wrist brace. I have since looked up the average cost of the exact steroid shot and wrist brace I was given. The steroid shot is less than a $100 value, and the wrist brace retails for around $20. I believe Dr. Paul Chubb and Sun City Ortho are responsible for abuse of billing. It’s disgusting and wrong. Do NOT go here.
