Dr. Paul Boulware was aware that I was not supposed to have palaperidone, but decided to prescribe me it in small doses anyways. I told him about my history of akathesia in the past and how suicidal I became and how excruciating the pain was. He prescribed me rispadol. After taking it for 3 weeks I decided to get off due to dizziness and tons of throwing up threw out the day. Four days after I stopped taking rispadol it hit me like a bag of bricks. The pain is excruciating! I called him multiple times and told Dr Boulware that my arms and legs feel like there burning or I have been poisoned. I can't shower, I can't eat, I feel so lethargic and stiff! Nothing but suicidal ideations and trauma from going thru this all over again. Boulware was full of excuses, and ultimately called me a liar by saying that my story doesn't add up. I feel like my body's burning on fire and he is refusing to help me . He offered diazepam and propanol that are only good for pouring down the sink.

I am not and never will recommend him!!
He did not disclose everything regarding ECT treatment. I have severe memory loss and extensive brain damage from the procedure he prescribed.

I currently see Dr.Boulware and he is the ONLY psychiatrist that actually listens and treats you like a person instead of just another case. He's actually WORKED WITH ME to find a combination of drugs for my GAD, Panic Discorder, and Cyclothymic disorder (A minor type of bi polar disorder) that actually work and keeps working with me and talks to me about what's going on on my life and affecting my life. He is by far one of the best psychiatrists I've seen that understands dual diagnosis patients and can work with them and prescribe medications accordingingly while being monitored and doing therapy.

Dr. Boulware is great! So often doctors/psychiatrists don't spend much time with you and aren't always so "caring" but Dr. B is so nice and friendly and caring!

While a patient at St Lukes for 17 days he sat with me everyday for 15 to 45 minutes answering my questions about the chemical processes and imbalances in the brain. He was very patient and ordered all of the tests I requested (these are not typical tests that insurance companies reimburse). He helped me to find the right medicinal protocol to effectively treat and manage my bi-polar diagnosis at 50 years old. He helped me find a way to live.

I met Dr Boulware when he was a resident Dr at John's Hopkin's in Baltimore from 2007-2009. He accomplished what no other Dr could which is anxiety along with headaches. I would highly recommend him. He is friendly to work with and has super communication skills.

Met with him for about 5 minutes for the first time. Prescribed Abilify. Never told me any of the side effects, and I now have Tardive Dyskinesia....for life, from that drug. Horrible.
