Refused me as patient as I'm not covid vaccinated
I don't feel this doctor is very caring at all. I was refused as a new patient on the grounds that I'm not vaccinated for covid. I have allergies to the covid vaccine because I'm allergic to PEG. I've had and recovered from Covid anyway. I will need to wait until August 1st to choose a different doctor according to my insurance rules since I chose this doctor in July. He doesn't care about people or their health. He is a business man only. I would avoid this doctor and the clinic he manages, My Family Clinic in Indio CA.

Dr Sweet is a rare find now a days. He has an awesome personality, talks to you like a person and not a doctor. He explains what's going on with you so you can understand it. Answer's all your questions. Looks at you while he's talking to you. He is the exception to the definition about what Caring for his Patient's is all about.

About six (6) months back I went to Urgent Care in San Diego because of inordinary neck swelling. Dr Sweet took it seriously and did not dismiss it as something that would eventually go away. He did not assume anything and seemed genuinely interested to figure it out. He seemed like someone who cared and genuinely enjoyed his field and enthusiastic towards solving other peoples health problems. I've had a lot of great doctors at sharp and the staff is always wonderful but Dr Sweet just stood out as extraordinary. He put in an order for me to get lab tested and stated he would look at the results himself. He did not push me off to my primary. By the time my appointment to get lab test came up I was unable to go due to my work schedule and the swelling had dissipated a lot so I reluctantly cancelled the appointment. I regret that now because it still swells up now and then and Dr Sweet likely would have figured out what it was. He's no longer at Sharp. :(

This is my first time at Urgent Care I had a great time with every single person at the Urgent Care from the time I checked in to the nurse practitioner and the doctor spend some time and let me know what was wrong and thoroughly explained what I should do. He was so nice and friendly and he made a scary situation a little bit better.

Dr. Sweet is a one of a kind. I was involved in a major motorcycle accident on 5/8/17 and was in a coma until 7/4/17. When i was released from the hospital Dr. Sweet took over my primary care, so I saw him a lot. He always made me feel comfortable and hopeful about my situation. He got all my drugs straightened out and got me off of most of them over time. I know my situation is a little unique, but then again so is Dr. Sweet. It also doesn't hurt he was a Navy Seal, he is just a protector.
