Busy Doctor
Apparently Dr. Olson is very busy because he does not spend more than a few minutes at post surgery visits. Only speaks to family member after surgery, PA on the next visit, at 4 week appointment waited 40 minutes came in had no idea what surgery he had done as he was looking and talking about the wrong finger until his assistant points out his notes, was there less than two minutes even though there are some issues with not everything turning out as it should. Didn’t even have a chance to ask a question before he ran out of the room.

Dr Olson performed osteotomy surgery on my right arm in June 2020. I am finally out of the pain I have struggled with for almost 5 years! The entire experience from my first consultation has been amazing with Dr Olson and his entire staff!! On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the BEST) I would give them a 15

Having had a terrible previous experience with a trigger finger correction, I was terrified when I developed a trigger thumb on my dominant hand. I am so thankful to have found Dr Olson. He operated on my thumb and within 24 hours I had full range of motion. He is not only a great surgeon, but a very professional and compassionate person. I am now two weeks post op and delighted with the results. I highly recommend Dr Olson.

Dr Olson is an extraordinary orthopedic doctor! Highly skilled, great communicator and compassionate bedside manner. Excuse the pun but you are “in good hands” with him! Everyone in Park City knows he is the best, “hands down!” :) Highly recommend- he also performed surgery on my husband as well as my hair stylist, so I have three extremely positive experiences to relay!

I've been a patient of Dr. Olson for about 3 years now for treatment of Dupuytren's contracture. I have seen other specialists in the past, and all were good doctors, but none have shown such a high level of knowledge, expertise, and compassion as Dr. Olson. He has the ability to make you feel like you truly have his complete attention. And his assistant, Karen Riley, CAT, is cut from the same cloth. Dr. Olson performed hand surgery on me in early April of this year and the results are astounding. I am a medical professional myself, and this background has taught me to recognize the excellent level at which Dr. Olson resides.

I would like to give Dr. Olsen the benefit of the doubt....I understand physicians are people and have busy or off days. That being said I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Dr. Olsen. He seamed to be in a rush and failed to address issues involved with a badly broken metacarpal. Failed to address increasing pain issues and I will now be getting a second opinion. A poorly made cast by an intern fell off as I was walking out of the hospital all though I mentioned it was to loose.

Dr. Olson has treated my wife and myself...always with superb results. Of particular importance to us is his extensive knowledge of diet as it relates to health and especially orthopedic issues. His knowledge of plant based diets has helped us in ways other orthopedic specialists haven't. We can't say enough good about him. You would be lucky to have him as your specialist.

Dr Olsen is treating both my husband and I, two completely different types of injuries. My husband has already had his surgery and is in no pain whatsoever. We left on a two five day road trip two days after his surgery and he did all of the driving with pins in his hand. Dr Olsen was very thorough during my appt and answered all of my questions. Additionally he gave me options regarding my treatment. He made recommendations for treatment but was not insistent on his coursr of care.
