Excellent care from gifted surgeon
Dr. Han has a calm, caring demeanor that made me feel confident that the brain surgery I faced would be successful. He took time to explain my rare condition, the surgery and possible outcomes and got me scheduled as quickly as possible for the surgery. His expertise, confidence and dedication are a rare combination with his kind, thoughtful personality. The surgery was a huge success with all symptoms resolved. Thank you Dr. Han for giving me my life back! I would highly recommend this surgeon!

Surgery success!
I had a benign tumor in my spinal cord in the thoracic area. I was concerned about having major surgery because of my age (79) and my heart history. Dr. Han and his team got me through the six hour surgery. That was three months ago. I would highly recommend neurosurgeon Dr. Patrick Han. He’s a very kind personable man. He takes the time to answer your questions in layman terms. The office staff is also very pleasant, helpful, and efficient. Hardly any wait time.

Most skilled, compassionate Neurosurgeon
Dr Han is extremely skilled at his profession. I had cervical spine surgery C4-C-5, C5-C6 with a cage and fusion plate. I worked as an RN in the area he practices in now. Believe me he is the best. My pain is gone, my balance is back, my memory is better and no more involuntary muscle movements I could not believe the difference. It was like flipping a light switch and I was back to my old self. I didn’t realize how much this surgery would improve my quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. Han for any type of neurosurgery you may need.

Professional, skilled and caring.
I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation Type I and although all the information I was told and read about the condition said surgery was the only treatment, I wanted a neurosurgeon with real experience in this procedure. I went to Dr Han for a second opinion, and immediately felt at ease with his professionalism and confidence and I knew I was in good hands. Dr Han explained the 7 hour procedure and answered all my questions frankly about the surgery and the following recovery. Post surgery I have none of the Chiari symptoms that previously plagued me, and I feel wonderful! Dr Han and his entire team were amazing from first consultation to surgery follow-up, and I was impressed that I could always reach the office and speak with a person who could help me. Thank you Dr Han for making me feel like myself again. I would highly recommend Dr Han.

Caring and very Professional. He was the only Dr. willing to take a chance on me. He saved my life. The pain and neck damage were unbearable. Without him and his team/staff I really would not be here today.

I was experiencing sciatic nerve pain which traveled from my lower back to my toes on my left leg. An X-ray revealed a lumbar vertebrae had shifted and was pressing on the nerve. I decided to research neurosurgeons near me. Dr. Patrick Han’s profile stood out. He has extensive years’ experience and is the head of the Department of Neurosurgery at Halifax. I was able to make an appointment to see him within a few weeks. He was patient and thorough in explaining my problem and after a cat scan further confirmed my diagnosis, he recommended surgery. Of course, I was a bit nervous at the prospect of surgery but he and his team of professionals soothed me every step of the way. I believe Dr. Han’s compassion reassured me and contributed to a successful outcome and recovery. At three months’ post op, I am pain free, happy and healthy!

8 hour back surgery. 4 stage fusion, stenosis, etc
8 hour back surgery included 4 stage fusion, straightening, inserting spacers, and cleaning out the lumbar for stenosis. Dr. Patrick Han and his team have my complete trust. He, and all of his team, are outstanding. Prompt with appointments, courteous and helpful with all situations. My surgery was long and difficult, but his surgical team minimized my personal, physical difficulties. It's been six months since my surgery, and I consider it to be highly successful. No more nerve pain or leg pain at all. They didn't just help me ... they really improved my life, and they saved me. Since the surgery, I've had many people (friends and other doctors) tell me that I am very fortunate because there are examples of similar back surgeries that did not go well. I was very fortunate to have a group of friends who prayed often for a successful surgery. It is my personal belief that God was guiding Dr. Han's skillful hand and mind during this surgery. Thank you.

BEST NEUROSURGEON AROUND HANDS DOWN BY ANY MEANS
I was referred by a friend to see Dr. Han reference to a mass in my neck. From the very beginning of seeing Dr. Han, he showed himself and his team to THE BEST in the area. Dr. Han himself took time to listen to my concerns and to gave me a completed examination. He then gave me both pro's and con's to what he thought was the issue. He also had me get MRI's for a complete picture of my condition. Upon seeing the results, he did not rush or push in way to go straight to surgery. He advised me of 'his' thoughts but not pressure me in any way in either direction. Dr. Han allowed me to make the decision of my treatment based on not only his recommendation but also how I felt. Dr. Han allowed me to take whatever time I needed and advised other possible treatment options. Upon waiting 6 months (my choice) to see how things progressed, I choose to have neck surgery. Dr Han did ABOVE AND BEYOND in the surgery. You can hardly even see where he cut me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR HAN 100+%

Compassionate, Skilled, and Wonderful
Doctor Han is a wonderful, loving and caring doctor. He is a ten star surgeon! He and his staff are extremely attentive, compassionate and patient-oriented. I found him through my daughter who had been under his care prior to me, and I am very grateful I was able to recieve his care as well. I have already recommended him to many people I have met in-person and will continue to recommend him as the pain I had in my neck has been heavily decreased thanks to his intervention.

Would not listen to me and do follow-up imagig
Did ACDF C3-6. CT at 6 weeks said follow-up imaging suggested for loose screw. He said it was not necessary and discharged me from care. Second opinion at another facility showed loose screw between vertebrae, slipped plate, non-fusion at level C5-6 and possible plate too long overlapping and possibly causing further damage above and below. Revision surgery from another facility much more extensive and more time off work. His office was great before surgery, but felt after surgery not much time and didn't listen to my concerns.

Amazing Dr and Staff
Absolutely phenomenal appointment. Dr. Han and his assistant Margo are amazing, knowledgeable professional people who knew exactly what is wrong with me and planned surgery that will no doubt save my life. I've already had three brain surgeries since June 2021, and now need another. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Han and his entire staff for their professionalism and kindness.

Absolutely the best!
2015 I had neck surgery with unexpected complications. I had C5 palsy, I lost the ability to raise my arm for over a year. Dr. Han was very involved in my treatment & referrals. He made sure that I was getting the best physical therapy & follow up care! Dr. Han was always compationate. Dr. Han sent me to St Lois to a Nerve Transplant specialist, Dr. Ray. Dr. Han & Dr. Ray worked very closely together with my treatment & recovery. I can now raise my arm & gained back my strength. I am so thankful for Dr. Han. He stayed positive, encouraging & kept me sain during my darkest moments. I wish he was still in Tulsa. I would give him the biggest hug! Absolutely gave me a better quality of life. GOD gave this man a great gift. I have friends that had surgery from Dr. Han, that feel the same! We miss him!

Dr. Han gave me my quality of life back
I would not be where I am at today without Dr. Han. He performed a fusion and laminectomy on my L5-S1. As a 25 year old woman I had immense minimum pain of 7-8 daily and couldn’t perform the tasks and daily events I would want to do. It’s now 3 months post operation and I have little to no pain! It’s taken a lot of time and work to get where I am but I wouldn’t be here without him! He is so personable and determined to make what’s right for his patients! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Outstanding experience with Dr. Han. This man was so confident and reassuring I knew I was in great hands. As soon as he walked into the room I just knew. I suppose I'm lucky that a large brain aneurysm was found before it ruptured. Lori and I sat there with tears in our eyes as we took in the process and the risks. I'm writing this today just over a year after the procedure and with continued follow up care and I'm thriving. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to what I do and so are you! Thank you so much for the hug, I so needed it. I look forward to seeing you in June! Thank you so much !

Dr Han operated with a coiling procedure after my wife Sherry had a major stroke and brain bleed. This was in December 2017....At St Johns hospital in Tulsa..He did an amazing job. She has fully recovered and has no lasting effects. A miracle, as he said...A truly fine surgeon and human being. He brought us through the most difficult of times. I salute his skills and manner.
