Dr. Patrick Costello is professional & proficient; he is a bit reserved at first meeting but his caring nature comes through, big-time, during surgery & aftercare. I had cataract surgery (both eyes) and the results were great. Dr. Pat Costello is skilled, and efficient, and the staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The Griffis Surgical Center provided a safe, efficient and comfortable place for the procedure. Only three concerns: (1) Despite inquiries, I still don't know why Medicare wouldn't pay for laser surgery even though regulations say they will. (2) Wait times in the New Hartford office were pretty long but the place was comfortable, and the staff was supportive; (3) Surgical Center asked for feedback and said they would follow up but still haven't heard from them.

All information, explanations and financial help offered through carecredit.com eased my mind on decision I made to not only have cataracts removed but also replace lenses with toric lenses. Surgeries set up in a timely manner along with follow-up appointments exactly when needed next day after surgery. Interest and concern expressed for the patient. Knowledgeable immediately to handle any concerns explaining well enough to understand. The result of my surgeries brought me the best vision I have ever had.
