Dr. Amar
I recently had a medical procedure from Dr Amar. His personal attention on me was beyond excellent but outanding from the initial consultation through the procedure. His staff and the outpatient staff were excellent as well.

Great Dr. Worth his weight in gold
I met him briefly in September of 2023. I went for a colonoscopy and endoscopy in November of 2023. He was superior. He removed an ulcer from my stomach and pollops from my intestines. His staff followed up with me verbally and in writing. Kudos to Dr Amar and staff. Thanks. Donald Cooke.

Very nice I found him very attentive. He explained
The staff was very nice. I didn’t have to wait more than five minutes the doctor was very polite and answered my questions gave me his opinion, and I opted to do an ultrasound and not an endoscopy. He agreed we shook hands and I left.

Avoid at all cost
Woke up from my colonoscopy to have the nurse tell me there had been a problem. The net had been caught inside me. The doctor said I would be going into surgery and they would need to remove “only an inch” of my colon. I freaked out and they did a CAT scan. I guess after consultation, they were able to put me back under and remove the net using another instrument. Dr. Amar was very blasé about the whole situation and I never heard a word from him again

Poor, uncaring service
Pleasant office staff but downhill after that. Dr ordered tests. I had to call three times for the results and was told someone would get back to me. A full week and on the fourth call I got the return call. Was told Dr Amar would call on Monday to discuss this further. No call has come! I do not feel confident that these people, or this Doctor are caring enough. I will look elsewhere for my needs.

It is very difficult to evaluate a physician that does not see the patient before a colonoscopy and/or endoscopy. My 2-star rating is to warn potential patients that the office is HORRIBLE. They literally do not know what they are doing. My pathology results were received one month before I had to call to retrieve the results. I strongly encourage you to stay away from this practice.

Procedure went fine. Dr Amar removed a polyp during a coloscopy. I waited an hour and a half after procedure as I requested some basic download after procedure, he left without any communication. I called his office immediately, no return phone call. Called for weeks, no communication. Finally, after a month and a half I got a nurse to read out the results for me. Still have not had any opportunity to ask the questions I had. I find his behavior to be very unprofessional.

I had a wonderful first visit to Dr. Patrick Amar's office. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Amar is exceptionally knowledgeable. I was impressed with his interaction with me. He took the time to thoroughly explain my possible medical condition and advise me on the next steps. I left his office feeling confident that he can assist me and help me to feel better.

After scheduling a colonoscopy and prepping for it, I found out on my appointment day that I WAS NOT ON THE SCHEDULE. After leaving the Outpatient facility, I called the office to find out WHAT HAPPENED. I was told by the office manager, that she had no recollection and that she would call the Outpatient facility to fit me in on that day. I was told they would, and that there was a cancellation. I waited two and a half hours and then called the office to find out how much longer I would need to wait. I was told a few more minutes. I waited 15 more minutes making it almost 3 hours and left. I received a call on the way home from the office - first words were -"You left? I was beyond numb. I did receive a handwritten apology - First, the appointment was not made and then I was lied to- as I waited almost three hours. I should have been told my options as to how long a wait I would have - it was insult to injury. No explanation as to how the appointment screw up happened

Scheduled appointment as 2nd opinion. Doctors office wanted all previous records, which we delivered 2 weeks before appointment. At the day of appointment the doctor only made a brief appearance, had not reviewed the prior history at all and wanted to start all over with the same tests that had already been preformed. Certainly not prepared, so not a doctor i'd recommend.

I have never experienced what seemed as a lack of concern for my care as I did in this office. I went in for a second opinion because of severe episodes of diarrhea. I saw the Dr. for 10 minutes and he ordered blood work. I never heard back from him and placed several calls to the office which were never returned. He finally had his nurse call me to tell me to eliminate gluten from my diet without an endoscopic confirmation. I did not receive the treatment or consideration that I personally give to my patients. Needless to say, I will not be returning. Dr. Michael Mann

Unconcerned with giving a comprehensive diagnosis. Kept me waiting for over three months after initial visit even though I’d been experiencing uncomfortable symptoms for many months. Still no answers. Just a colonoscopy assembly line. Very disappointing!

Probably the worst doctor I have ever encountered. I can't believe he's allowed to practice at such a reputable hospital as Holy Cross. I went to him for severe acid reflux. I couldn't have been in his office more than 90 seconds when he immediately said I need an endoscopy (without even looking into my throat) and -- while he was at it -- a colonoscopy. After the procedure and the nurse saying "it could be cancer," he or his staff NEVER called with the results. I had to call them. Don't go.

On March 28th I went for an outpatient procedure endoscopy and Dr Patrick Amar nicked my pancreas and I end up 4 days in the hospital and over $4000 in out of pocket bills. The Dr only came to see me “once” in the hospital after almost killing me. Stay away from this guy he is dangerous.

Not very communicative, didn't even call me with results from endoscopy. Office staff short and not very helpful. Which makes sense because I found Dr. Amar a bit rude. It all trickles down.

One of the worst experiences. Would never recommend to anyone. Very arrogant attitude and acted as if I was just a waste of his time. Left feeling worse than when I came in. I would think as physician you would want to help your patients and make them feel welcome.
