Dr. Patricia Van Diepen, DO

I went to Ormond Internal Medicine because it had been recommended to me by many people in the area. I have been a patient for years. I have seen a couple of NPs at the office, but one of the best ones I've met with is an APRN named Andrea Thompson. She is extremely compassionate and respectful. She is the only family medicine DR, NP, that I have had who I feel actually listens and is concerned about my well-being. She is incredible.For someone who has a chronic illness, this kind of treatment is life-changing. Knowing that there is a medical professional out there who cares and listens to what I am dealing has helped not only my physical health, but also my mental health.I honestly do not care how long I have to wait to be seen, to me... It is worth it. I understand that it's not the doctor or NP's fault. With my intense work and travel schedule, the fact that they will speak with you through Telehealth is also a huge bonus.

We have always had to wait, sometimes up to 45 minutes in the exam room. This is even when we are the first patient of the day. We have seen Kelly Doggett. She does not work collaboratively with patients. She wants to tell you what to do and that is that. If they cannot see you, they will set up a telemedicine. Three times, we waited over an hour with no-one coming on and we hung up. The front staff is not helpful at all and, at times, they are rude. We have had to call multiple times for prescription refills and still gotten no response.

Dr van Diepen, was extremely busy but still took all the time I needed to explain my lab work and make suggestions to make my life easier. She was very understanding of what I was feeling.

Dr VanDiepen has been my doctor for almost 20 years now. She is the most honest and sincere doctor that I’ve ever had the pleasure to know in all of my life. Doc has taken care of me with love and caring and kindness in the times that I didn’t think I could make it through to the next day. Her referrals are to the best doctors and her follow up is exceptional. I can only say that she is a blessing from God to my life and I am grateful every day to also call her friend.

I always see the NPs but I love them. All the staff is kind and never rush you. They are personable and I always feel like they are paying attention to my needs. It’s hard to find an office where everyone is good, but this is it!

I would absolutely recommend Dr Van Diepen to family and friends. Not only is she knowledgeable about standard medicine, but she is also knowledgeable about holistic medicine as well which is extremely important to me as I do not believe in pumping the body up with pharmaceuticals which have myriad side-effects. I am not anti-meds, but very aware of the overuse/abuse of them when there are healthier alternatives.

Identified cause for concern - referred to dermatologist- Dr Gail was right - squamous in situ. Great early catch!

Dr Gail is a great dr she takes her time with you and to me it is so worth the wait. About 9 years ago she saved my like when other drs keep telling me the wrong thing. When I met dr Gail for first time she knew rite away what was wrong. #1 in my book
