Dr. Patrica Mackin is an Excellent Doctor!
Dr. Mackin listens, explains in layman terms, and takes the time needed with her patients. I am so happy that I switched doctors and am thoroughly impressed by Dr. Mackin. She listened to all my concerns with empathy and took time to discuss each one. Her front staff is also kind. Just an great experience. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new doctor.

Slowly declining
Update 2023: waited over an hour for a 2 minute encounter for my physical today. I won't be back. The wait gets longer and longer every year. 20-30 minutes totally get it but over an hour without an update or hey sorry. My appt was 9:15 am and wasn't seen until 10:40 am. Very unprofessional. Pros: Great practice and doctor and support staff. There is one consistent MA that works there that is excellent. I love our doctor she is highly knowledgeable and great. Cons: Always a long wait either in the waiting room and then in the room or they take you into the room quickly, but a long wait in the room. Even a nurses visit was a 30 minute wait just for a 1 minute in and out treatment. - I do miss the ease of just scheduling online, they no longer do this. Just a heads up to others looking for a do.

Disappointing lack of followup by staff & Doctor
Called Dr. Mackin’s office on a Monday after pharmacy said She had declined to extend my prescription the previous week for heart medication that Dr. Mackin has had me on for a few years. I explained that I was out of the combo medication and I needed at least enough to cover me until I could schedule an appt. No response that day and I called back Tuesday to be told no feedback from the doctor. By Thursday, still no response and I decided something was wrong. I called my Cardiologist and got a PCP referral and was setup the same day. . My experience over the years withDr Mackin was definitely a C+ experience but this last experience was unacceptable. Hoping to hear back with some sort of explanation, but not holding my breath.

I have been seeing her for many years now and she always takes her time and is genuinely concerned about your health and well-being. I am also in the medical field, I work in a local hospital and I would highly recommend Dr Mackin.

I cannot say enough about the quality of care given at this office. Dr Mackin is professional yet personable and has spent a great amount of time explaining what is going on and treatment options. While you may have a longer wait, it is well worth any time as she truly cares for her patients in a way that is unheard of in many of todays medical practices.

While Dr. Mackin is amazing and quite literally saved my life, her staff has consistently been difficult to work with, bordering on rude, unreliable and haphazard. I have been double booked, had my appointment canceled, told I needed to reschedule or otherwise dismissed. While I haven't had any trouble with the nursing staff, the front office, and particularly the receptionist have rubbed me the wrong way multiple times.

Dr. MacKin is amazing! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a PHP. Her staff, however, hasn't been entirely reliable when it comes to doing their jobs. From what I understand, this is improving.

I’ve been to this office multiple times and each time to see the doctor it has been over an hour wait. Even when I’ve come just for lab work, I have to wait at least 30 minutes. Asking for a prescription to be filled has been a joke, I had an urgent prescription needing filled and it wasn’t filled until a week later. I was referred here and really wanted to have a good experience but each time I am disappointed and feel as though my health isn’t important to them.

The doctor is great, kind and does not rush you through. There is a huge problem with some of the staff. You never get a call back when you leave a message and it takes days for them to call in your prescriptions to the pharmacy, my pharmacy calls in requests 2 or three times and I finally call and if you can get someone to answer the phone and help you then you finally get someone to send it to them.

The wait was over an hour and a half, but that wasn't the main issue. The main issue is with prescriptions. They are extremely inefficient when it comes to filling and communicating with your pharmacy. Don't waste your time here.

I had been a patient with Dr. Mackin for a few years. After beginning a new job, she was no longer a preferred PCP in my plan so I still paid the higher copay because I really liked her. I had a procedure scheduled and after almost a week of requesting information on my out of pocket if any, I was sent an email informing me that my insurance would cover 100%. That was a lie. I left her practice for $67 bill that was not covered after allthat her office has aggressively been trying to get me to pay. Be warned...it doesn't matter that they send you an email from her office confirming you would owe $0 they won't honor their mistake. They'd rather lose a customer over $67.

The doctor was friendly but I will not be returning. I waited 45 minutes for my appointment only to be put in a waiting room for 20 more minutes. After being told that I would be notified of my blood test results within a week, no one called me. I phoned the office and she said that there were problems with the system and no one had received results. No notification. Finally, my well visit (covered) was billed as a new patient visit (not covered) to the insurance company. No thanks.

I scheduled an appt with Ms. Mackin. I showed up 20 minutes early, filled out the new patient paperwork, and was ready about 5 minutes early for my appointment. Then, I was told that since I was not 30 minutes early for my appointment, she was refusing me care. I was early and ready on time, and my type I juvenile diabetes was going to go untreated? She failed the Hippocratic oath and obviously suffers from the Doctor’s superiority complex: their time matters, but yours does not. NEVER use h

Dr. Mackin has been great working with me on my Type 2 Diabetes. So much that I was on and off insulin less than 6 months and on and off Metformin less than a year or so. We both worked at it, I did my job and she did hers. Old office was nice but the guy in front was a jerk, her new office has been great. I was a 3 different doctors before her and the staff was the pits. We made deals and I lost sometimes but it was up to me to get better with her guidance which I did. Thank you Dr. Mackin!!!!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Macklin for approximately 3 years and she is great! She takes her time to talk with you and never in a rush to get to the next patient like most other doctors. I've never sat in the waiting room for more than 15 minutes, and usually put in a room in less time than that. She just moved to her new office and its really nice, with better parking and access than at her previous location. Her staff is also very friendly. She's a 10+ in my book!
