Dr. Patricia Calhoun, MD

Dr. Calhoun is a wonderful doctor, but the practice has horrible scheduling practices. I have never waited for less than 90 minutes to see her - even with early morning appointments.

Dr. Calhoun has been my primary care physician for over 20 years. She is knowledgable, pratical, kind and caring. She always takes the time to listen to my concrens and to explain any conditions or findings. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a PCP.

Dr. Calhoun is by far the best doctor I've had! She is knowledgeable, friendly, and truly thinks of your health as a partnership. My family has been seeing her for more than a decade and I will never change. There are many comments about her running late. The issue is that she cares and actually spends time with her patients. Baptist and insurance companies require so many patients be seen in a certain time period, so all of the scheduling is not within her control. I've also had an appointment moved and had trouble getting in for a time that worked - that was all done by the office staff, she had no knowledge about it and told me to call her if I had a problem like that again. Bottom line, she is worth the wait.

She is very popular judged by how many people were in the office. The staff was great. I did have to wait about 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment even though I was asked to come 15 minutes earlier. That was the only negative.

Dr. Calhoun is an excellent Dr except in the area of time management. I have visited her over 6 times and the best ever was seeing her in 45 minutes, the average wait time to get in a room with her is 1.5 hours with worst being over 2 hours. According to the office manager this is because she does not allow them to block the appropriate time per patient.

Dr. Calhoun is a wonderful primary care physician. I have been a patient of hers now for 20 years. I highly recommend her to anyone needing a family care doctor. She provides primary care for all of my immediate family.

Dr. Calhoun is one of those rare Dr.'s that actually listed to what you are saying and celebrate your successes with you. She spends as much time as needed with you to make sure everything is covered during your visit and when you leave you don't feel like cattle being herded out. As long as she is in business, I will never go to another primary care Dr.

Dr. Calhoun never makes you feel rushed and always has a smile on her face. That being said, when I make an appointment to see her, I literally have to schedule with work to be gone for several hours because I never know how long it will take. Pros and Cons.
