See someone else if you value your time
Horrible doctor. Never on time. Doesn’t respect your time. I’ve been going to him for 4 years and every time he’s at least 30 minutes late. When I confronted him about his tardiness and lack of respect for a patient’s time, as I do every time I go see him, he apologized first, states he spends extra time with patients and would do the same for me. I would’ve been ok with that BUT then in the same breath he told me if I didn’t like it to see another doctor. That is what made me upset. His way or the highway. I will be calling Scripps patient advocate and filing a complaint. I won’t be going back to Scripps.

Dr. Chowdhuri is a thoughtful, thorough physician. He listens carefully, probes for additional information, and spends the right amount of time with you. I feel that I am in good hands with his care, and highly recommend this provider.

Dr Chowdhuri is patient, kind and adapts right away to my father's cognitive difficulties. He takes time to explain thoroughly and in terms that Dad can understand. His staff is professional and kind, as well. My father really appreciates Dr C and highly recommends him, as does our entire family.

He was thorough, listened to me very carefully and explained everything for me to easily understand. Went above and beyond what I went in for making sure I'm up to date with what I'm supposed to do, taking care of myself.

I saw Dr. Chowdhuri one time to check my titers for a few vaccines to make sure I’m current. He was fine in that regard. But when I showed him my dry hands that were cracking and bleeding, he didn’t seem to care or have any advice on what to do next. I had to figure out myself, thanks to google, that it was an SLS sensitivity. Fast forward several months, and I needed a pre-op screening to clear me for surgery. Dr. chowdhuri was the only one with availability and he had done just fine ordering blood tests, so I decided to go with him. His office called me the morning of the appointment, just 1 week before my surgery, saying that he refuses to see me. His reason was that I’ve been trying too many doctors and should go to my PCP. I had only seen my PCP one time and it’s my right to not return to him. Dr. Chowdhuri thinks he can boss patients around and turn them away for ridiculous reasons, causing them significant stress before a major surgery. He should be ashamed of himself.

Poor patient listening skills, seemed distracted and unable to devote attention to my critical and complex treatment. Unable to recommend.

He doesn't listen to you when you have a problem. All he says is to lose weight that's the answer to everything. Never listens to you because he feels if you lose weight you won't have an problems and don't need to visit him anymore. there's problems that as nothing to do w/ weight. I know have to lose weight just his the patients know it too. But really listen instead of brushing us off. Another thing when someone is suffering from depression don't tell them theres nothing you cant do about it.
