Dr. Parisa Farhi, MD

Dr. Farhi is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She listens to my concerns and answers all my questions in a manner that I can understand. She shows interest in me as a person and takes the necessary time addressing all my concerns. I never feel rushed. Her assistants and staff are very courteous and helpful. I have been seen by her for the past three years and will never go to anyone else. She is a great doctor.

Dr. Farhi successfully removed and replaced lenses in both my eyes. She is very professional and caring. I'd highly recommend her. Only drawback is the wait time in the office, which can be long.

Dr. Farhi performed surgery to remove both of my cataracts. She is very informative and helps you to choose which lenses are best for you.I had absolutely no problems from my surgeries. The office staff have always been courteous and professional.I highly recommend Dr. Farhi!

Just had first cataract surgery yesterday by Dr Farhi & could not express how good things went, was very pleased so far with her. She is a wonderful dr & explained every question that was asked. Today went back for follow up & so far I a doing great. Highly recommend her.

Dr. Farhi is an excellent doctor! I was blind in my right eye. I had cataract surgery on both eyes. She was very thorough and took time to explain the procedures to me. Thanks to her expertise, I am doing great and can see now! Her staff was very professional and helpful too. The surgery was at NRV Carilion outpatient center and they were amazing! Thank you Dr. Farhi for giving me my sight back!! I highly recommend her. She's the best!

I respect the fact that Dr. Farhi is so knowledgeable and makes sure I understand my diagnosis and treatment plan. I always feel my concerns are heard and she takes her time with appointments. Dr. Farhi is skilled, knowledgeable and cares about her patients. I trust her to help me make the right decisions when it comes to taking care of my eyes. I would certainly recommend her to others who may have concerns about their optic health especially as they age or have genetic conditions like Narrow Angles (which as she explained to me is the #1 cause of preventable blindness in the world). Please ask your ophthalmologist to check for Narrow Angles during your check ups and if you do have that condition, contact Dr. Farhi's office sooner rather than later so she can help you resolve this issue, like she did in my case.

Dr.. Farhi wants the very best medical care for her patients. She makes recommendations and allows you to further discuss them as well as other options. All of her team are very knowledgeable and very considerate.Two members of her front staff, I have dealt with a lot, are extremely kind and helpful, Connie and Amanda. Our area is very fortunate to have a specialist of this caliber!

I've been a patient of Dr. Farhi for a few years now. She's a kind and friendly healthcare provider. She legitimately cares about her patients and takes interest in them as human beings. Dr. Farhi is always careful to explain her diagnoses and treatments.

She has been treating me for many years for Glaucoma. I have not noticed any decline in my vision since I began treatment so I conclude that her treatment has been effective. I appreciate that she explains the purpose of her treatments and keeps me informed of the result and meaning of the testing she uses to monitor my condition and to make adjustments to my treatment.

Dr Farhi was amazing from my very first visit. She took the time to explain things and was very caring. I have been seeing her for 3 years , she has done Narrow Angle and caterac surgery on both my eyes and it was painless with amazing results. She continues to care about my sight and future with my eyes. I would travel to see her if need be anywhere. All the staff members are awesome .

Dr. Farhi makes excellent use of medical technicians to maintain efficiency in her office. My appointment time was respected, and my 'face time' with the doctor was both pleasant and informative. She was more than willing to answer questions and explain what she was doing during the exam (I'm an optical engineer). She is especially attentive to concerns about the spread of COVID. She has excellent 'chair-side'manner; I never felt that she was in a hurry to move on to the next patient. The entire visit was a study in professionalism and efficiency.

Based on my experience having cataracts removed, I would highly recommend Dr. Farhi. She is a very competent surgeon, took the time to answer questions, and is extremely professional and personable. Her entire office staff is great also. In the surgical setting, she and the staff worked extremely well together which made me feel very comfortable with the process.
