I had a telephone consult with her today, and have had an appointment with her in the past. She doesn't listen well and will assume you are stupid. You can't tell her anything, because she already knows. Once I tried to tell her a medicine wasn't going to be a good choice for me because of genetics, and she cut me off. So I was on the medicine for three months without it working. Today she was abrasive and dismissive about my symptoms. I knew what was going on because I have had it before, but that wasn't important to her. I will just refuse to have any interaction with her in the future.

I'm 75 and have been Dr. Laughlin's patient for 15 years. She is very knowledgeable and caring. Her diagnostic skills are impressive. Most important is her kindness and empathy. I always recommend her when asked about an MD in Bellingham.

She ia an average doctor not keeping up with medical field new development. I have been seeing her for a few years. She had miss diagnosis one of my serious problems. I do not feel comfortable with her skill. Now, I switch to a different doctor.

Dr Laughlin is a wonderful doctor. She is extremely empathetic and very smart. She always checks my test results on her computer when I'm at her office and discusses them with me. She is honest about my health issues and gives practical advice. I have already had friends and family switch to her and they are also very happy having her as their doctor.

My elderly mother has been seeing Dr Laughlin for quite sometime, but has recently sought care elsewhere. My mother can be a handful, and needs a lot of reassurance. She suffers from depression and has a lot of vague symptoms. I realize that these types of patients can be frustrating for medical professionals. My mother has felt dismissed on numerous occasions by Dr Laughlin, including her last visit where she started out the visit by telling my mother "youd better not have a list of things"

I have a medical background, so I can tell when somebody is great at what they do. She is wickedly smart and knows how to differentially diagnose.
