compassion & minimal scars !
in 2006 and 07 she helped me through 2 separate lumpectomies as a surgeon she is the best, left very minimal scarring, and was most compassionate doctor ever. I would come back to Michigan if the cancer ever came back (moved out of state in 2013) . Obviously she got it all because 19 years later I am kicking life !

Very disappointing
I met w Dr Johnson at Karmanos to discuss a double mastectomy w reconstruction. 20 min into our meeting she tells me that Karmanos doesn’t like to do reconstruction, that there is one plastic surgeon and they pick and choose who they do. She said my bmi would have to be 30 to even be considered and I may wait 5 months. Ridiculous my bmi at 30 would be 133 pounds. She also came off as very arrogant and mildly put off by me interviewing her as my potential surgeon. She bad mouthed Karmanos, why contract with them if you don’t like them. I found her to be very unprofessional for doing that. She raved about my oncologist that I have at u of m, and told me to do my surgery there. That is what I will do. I certainly won’t go to her. I am so disappointed as I couldn’t wait to meet her based on her reviews. It was a waste of my time and I told her that to her face. Her response was well if you would have told me you wanted reconstruction I could have told you that ahead of time. Wow. 1 star

Wonderful doctor…very caring, answered all my questions. Dr. Johnson is very easy to talk to and detailed in her answers. I felt very relieved that I had made the right decision to have her as my breast cancer (surgeon) Doctor . Would highly recommend her. In fact, If you mentioned Dr. Johnson’s name to the Beaumont Troy staff they will all give her rave reviews. Dr. Johnson’s office staff are Also nice and extremely helpful. Jane and Paula were very supportive and caring regarding my needs and condition. I would give both of them an A+????

I was scared and didn't know what to expect when I had my initial consultation with Dr. Johnson. I thought I was going to have to wait weeks before seeing her, but her office was able to get me an appointment within a week. She spent almost 2 hours with my husband and myself. She explained and showed us everything so that we had a good understanding. By the time we left, we felt very good with the prognosis. Dr. Johnson has a wonderful reassuring bedside manner. The individuals in the Dr. Johnson's office also adhere to great customer service. I don't know how many times we had to ask Paula to complete and re-fax paperwork to our jobs or insurance companies. Paula was always accommodating and willing to do what was needed. Dr. Johnson and her office were rays of bright sunshine during a difficult time.

Dr. Johnson is the full package! She is highly credentialed, up to date on the latest treatment methods, confident, intelligent, and most importantly, compassionate. From the beginning of your initial consultation, you will know that you found the perfect doctor. She spends time getting to know you. She will fully explain all of your options and make a recommendation. When you leave her office, you will feel considerably better than when you arrived. Her entire staff is helpful, warm and there for you. It is obvious that they all love working with Dr. Johnson and respect her. It’s an extremely impressive team. Our outcome exceeded expectations. She performed surgery with a relatively painless recovery, outstanding margins and minimal follow up care required. I would highly recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone!

Excellent, caring, experienced! My Gynocologist recommended Dr Johnson to me after my initial breast cancer diagnosis. I had already received two opinions and my insurance wouldn’t pay for a third but Dr Johnson saw me anyway and did not charge me for the initial consultation. She answered all of my questions, unlike the Oncologist I had seen previously, and provided her opinion, again unlike the previous doctor. She was very honest and professional and I was so happy to have found her!

Dr. Johnson is what every physician should aspire to become. She is personable, knowledgeable, and kind. I was pregnant when diagnosed with breast cancer. When her office had no available appointments for weeks, she came in on her day off-- the very next day-- to see me, having already done her homework regarding treatment options. She took my needs seriously and gave me the information I needed to make my own medical choices. I am super-grateful for this wonderful doctor!

Dr. Pamela Johnson and her assistant and office manager Paula were professional, kind and treated me like a princess. Paula clarified my ultrasound finding and encouraged me when I made the appointment. No wait time at all. Both answered all my questions before I asked. First class bedside manner. I had a biopsy which was done with much care, without much discomfort at all, and the recovery time was much less than I had anticipated - not so much as a tiny bruise after. Highly recommend.
