Dr. Pamela Havlen, MD

I saw Dr. Havlen for 5 yrs & then moved to Oregon. She was always kind, respectiveful, & took my complaints seriously & I am a complicated patient with some serious health issues if not treated properly. I moved back two years later & she was pleasant as always, but something seemed different, like she was distracted or rushed. Maybe it was a bad day or she had been stressed by Covid. It seems in general tho the care at Skyline deteriorated some perhaps from being so busy and fewer docs. For me tho as I have such a long health complaint history & basically lacked any health care in Oregon I was hoping for the same quality of care I left from in 2020. She’s big on preventive medicine & I agree that's important, but I felt she stopped truly listening to my acute concerns as she wants to leave it all up to specialist and I feel she should be more involved or at at least me find good referrals. She's still a great doc, but I think she did all she could do for me and it was time to move on.

It's not too hard to get a 10 minute appointment. If you have the flu, or a broken finger, she is competent and will get it fixed. However she does not monitor health conditions, give ANY immunizations, or notify you when blood tests or physicals are due. She takes the easy route (diagnoses by checklist) if you have a rare or difficult medical condition. Staff is polite, but not empowered to do much. Good luck.

Dr. Havlen is an excellent physician--intelligent, interested in her patients, thorough. She made me feel very comfortable at my first visit. I feel I can trust her completely.

Doctor Havlen is great. She is direct and honest.

I had no appointment. I received 4 texts and 3 email reminder of May 22 as date of appointment. I even confirmed two times with receptionist. Upon arrival, I was told my appointment was May 28. I was having personal medical crisis and left out in the cold. I asked a referral for a mental anguish consult and was give some wellness clinic in Aurora where you are seen by a medical intern which is not appropriate to document an issue by a board certified physician. This is not the first time there has been a scheduling mistake.

I really like Dr. Pamela, she cares about you, she never seems like she is in a rush. Plus she looks into everything that is wrong with you. She has a great smile and is very kind with you.

She is very professional and competent and listened. I appreciated her seeing me on such short notice.

Doctor was thorough and helpful. She was instrumental in diagnosing a serious health issue I had and directed me to the specialists I needed for treatment and care.

I saw Dr Havlen last week for a follow up appointment and for her to check out my recently diagnosed ankle cellulitis. She examined my wound, had her wonderful and capable nurse clean and redress it, and arranged for me to receive the new Shingles vaccine injections. Dr Havlen listens carefully, is caring and highly intelligent. The whole staff at this practice is terrific. I highly recommend this group practice and Dr Havlen in particular. I have seen her regularly since the Fall of 2013.

Dr. Havien took care of my Mother for the last 4 years of her life. She did an excellent job of monitoring every aspect of her complicated medical conditions as they intertwined until her cancer returned. I felt so comfortable with her competence and bedside manner I have recommended that other family members consider seeing her as well.

Had a new patient exam with Dr. Havlen. I found her very fair, and very concerned about my past conditions and future planning. As a senior this is very important to me. I also found her assistant and all the people at Skyline to be very desirous to be helpful.

Dr. Havlen has been the best PCP I have had in my adult life. I have confidence in her and in the referrals she has given me.

Went to see Dr Havlen for some pre surgery testing. As always, I had a short wait time. Once in the Dr. was interested in my comments and addressed my issues promptly and courteously to my satisfaction. I always feel better when I leave Dr. Havlen's office. Not only is the Dr. very good but so is the staff. I can recommend them highly.

Two years ago I saw Dr. Havlen for the first time because I was taking ten prescription medications and yet all of my “numbers” were high and my energy was low. I told her at that first visit that I wanted her to review my list of meds, get rid of ones I didn’t need, and consider changing others to ones that might work better. She listened and used her extensive knowledge to get my body back in balance. I am very thankful! I feel so much better!

Everyone at this office is pleasant and helpful and they run on time, very much appreciated. I get test results very promptly and am always asked if I need anything else, which they are happy to do. I like scheduling online, they call with reminders and it's an easy experience.

I so appreciate her sincere and empowering advice and perspective in my Health Care. Her concern is consistent and always available, even with an emergency visit. Dr. Havlen is my forever Doctor!.

Just checking for any problems after the car accident.

This was my first visit to Dr Havlen and I was very pleased to find such a highly regarded primary care doctor. Her staff was excellent, my wait was short, my time with the doctor was long enough to cover all of the important issues and history and I never felt rushed. Her exam was as thorough as it needed to be. She was interested, not distracted from my immediate care. I'm very happy - she is exactly the kind of primary doctor I hoped to find.
