The most contentious doctor I've ever met.
The way that he argued with me when I told him verifiable facts about my eyes.

Incompetent or Over Billing
The front office is terrible. Rude and they incorrectly bill in their favor. I needed a to have nodules removed from cornea. Made appt with Dr 6 weeks in advance. A few days before appt, office called and said I had to see another Dr. I asked if this Dr could answer my questions about the procedure. They said yes. The Dr was an optometrist NOT an ophthalmologist and unable to answer questions. I saw an optometrist and had all my records that I could have shared if asked. I complained. Said they would issue $30 credit for copay. Medicare refused payment as it does not cover optometrist visits. Dr V does surgery, charged me a $30 copay. Per insurance, copays are not for medical procedures. Credit card refused payment as it was an error. I get a call from office saying the date for my next surgery has been cancelled. After weeks of phone tag, I was told Dr V would prefer I seek another Dr. Why? Because they billed me incorrectly and I brought to their attention?

I was diagnosed with Fuch's Dystrophy 20 years ago and needed surgery to continue daily life. I was thankful to have found Dr. "V" on the internet and he took my insurance which others had rejected. He provided me with a second opinion and his training, thoughtfulness, kindness and practice in doing DMEK surgery convinced me he was to be my choice. I have not been disappointed. After surgery on both eyes I now have 20/30 vision in both eyes in less than 4 months following directions exactly.
