Excellent
He’s an excellent physician. You don’t have to wait 6 months for an appointment and he actually listens to your issues and orders appropriate testing.

I recently met with Dr. Carrim as a new patient. His practice is located in a house that had been converted to carry out the duties of a health care practice. One thing I immediately noticed about the space was the lack of privacy. Another patient was being seen and the door was cracked during his appointment, leaving patients in the waiting room able to overhear his discussions with the doctor. This felt quite unprofessional, and was red flag #1.When I met with him, he was very cordial and introduced himself, but there were many red flags during our discussion. He repeatedly interrupted me when I was asked to describe my symptoms, or acted dismissively when I pressed him for more information or mentioned a preference for a certain medication. At one point he said 'God will find a way' to care for the unborn children my husband and I aren't planning on having. Another red flag.Pluses: I was able to get an appointment quite quickly, as well as my prescription medications.

He was friendly, he was straight forward and clear an concise with his questions and answers. I appreciated how he wanted to hear the root of my issue, rather than a story. He clarified my questions and answered me in layman’s terms, so I could understand. His front desk person was welcoming. She must be a new person compared to previous comments on here. I like this doctor.

UNPROFESSIONAL IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. In the midst of a global pandemic, this "Medical Professional" was NOT WEARING A MASK in his office. I asked him if he could put one on and he said, "I can put on a mask, but just so you know, there is no evidence for wearing them." He came back with a mask on, which he wore incorrectly (underneath his nose). The only reason I didn't leave was because I was in the throes of an extremely painful gout flare, needed a steroid prescription, and couldn't get in to see anyone else soon enough. I have been to see him twice (once last winter, and this being the last time, for sure). He does not listen well at all. He sits at his computer typing the entire time and the appointments feel very rushed. He is quick to push prescriptions for anything you may say is bothering you instead of inquiring more and working through solutions. The big pharma kick-backs are clearly the core incentive of his practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Carrim since 1990 when I retired from the Army. He has treated me many times for a broad range of issues and has NEVER been wrong on any diagnosis. I treasure him as my only physician.

Working with Doctor Carrim is like pulling teeth. His office is only open mornings so make sure not to need his assistance after lunch. My pharmacy faxed over a refill request four times with no response. I called and left a message and expressed frustration about the situation. They had the nerve to call my husband and complain that my message was rude. I didn't realize that it was rude to expect your medical provider to do the job they bill hundreds of dollars for. My advice is run far away.
