Dr. Oscar Sotelo, MD

The doctor is OK, the problem here is one of his "assistants"who writes whatever she wants to write on the notes and that has affected and kept me from getting the help and treatment that I've been needing for quite some time, all because of this medical assistant who thinks that she's the one who calls the shots and the doctor doesn't think that the things need to be removed (if they are not cancerous). It's very hard to make her understand, she thinks that I should go somewhere else because she's not going to "extract or remove anything"and the doctor doesn't even know what she's saying. I hope that Dr. Sotelo reads this review.

I saw Dr. Sotelo in December, 2019 for a pimple like spot on my left cheek. I also has several red blotches higher on the left cheek. Dr. Sotelo examined me and stated that it was nothing serious and it would go away in time. In July 2020 the pimple like spot had grown and looked like a boil and the red blotches were still present. I went to a different dermatologist who examined me and performed a biopsy of the boil looking spot. It came back as invasive squamous cell cancer and I had surgery to remove it. They have scheduled blue light treatments to deal with the red blotches which ended up being pre-cancerous cells. I would not recommend Dr. Sotelo to anyone.

He's a very good doctor, very considerate. Have been going to him for many years.
